It's the time! 😃 we're starting our series, Today's first concert memory will be Sonisphere festival 2011 in Warsaw. Sonisphere Festival was a really good and cool festival in my opinion, which took place in a European country between 2009 and 2016. Unfortunately, the festival probably fell due to financial reasons.
The main star of the evening at Warsaw Bemowo was the legend of Heavy Metal - Iron Maiden. There was a great joy in my heart when I found out that this band will be the headliner, it will be known to my favorite band from the world of music in general. Support bands were also amazing. The Main Stage was as follows: Killing Joke, Devin Townsend Project, Volbeat, Mastodon, Motörhead, and at the end of the evening, Iron Maiden. Bands such as Hunter, Corruption, Made of Hate, Leash Eye, Chassis, Masturbator, Dead on Time, and Mouga presented themselves on smaller anti-radio stages and on the Red Bull Tourbus stage.
I really wanted to see the bands Devin Townsend Project, Killing Joke, and Mastodon, but unfortunately, the traffic jams and traveling a lot to the festival interrupted so I was just late for the concert of these bands, but ''Every cloud has a silver lining'' I managed to catch an absolute legend also from the metal, that is God - Lemmy and his band Motörhead. It was the first and last time when I see Lemmy live, then he left us forever 4 years later. The show that Motörhead and Lemmy gave us was more than just warming up the audience, they just kicked the audience's ass! In a class of its own. The only bad side was that Motörhead played a little over an hour, but I understand from that point on Lemmy must have felt in bad health. When they played one of my favorite songs by them - "Kill by Death", here I praise the audience, which with this song made probably the best metal mosh pit I've ever been. Someone, even during this mosh pit, took off his shoe and threw it on the audience, unfortunately, someone got hit in the head with it XD but such things during music festivals are real gems and have their unique atmosphere and charm. There was also one gentleman who, completely not knowing my mother, turned to me and said - I love your mother! And this is beautiful!. My mum just laughed and was probably a bit shocked, maybe because it was her first metal concert, and because she is not very much in metal like me, the whole event was an amazing adventure for her and a new life experience, but I think very positively, especially when the Iron Maiden appeared on the stage, which my mother also likes them very much, especially their calm metal ballads such as - "Blood Brothers". After a great performance by Motörhead, it was time for the ''star of the evening'' - Iron Maiden!
The band was then on a tour promoting their album called ''The Final Frontier'' (2010), and although personally this Maiden album is almost the last on my list and I didn't really like it. I was really impressed live by the songs from this album. ''The Final Frontier'' album is in the atmosphere of space, both instrumental, ambient, and in terms of lyrics. The night was slowly falling in Bemowo and all the concerts were even close to the airport apron, so it made a really magical atmosphere when the Maiden started playing. Before the show, Iron Maiden rolled in a classic UFO track called ''Doctor, Doctor'' which is always played before a Maiden concert. This is a sign that the greatest emotions are just around the corner. I would have to describe for a long time what the Maiden concert was for me, especially since I saw them live for the first time, but I will describe it briefly. Chills, tears of happiness, and emotions. To see your beloved band live for the first time is probably a dream come true for every fan of a band. Excellent setlist, and stage decoration, and the space robot Eddie. You could say that Maiden's concerts are almost like a good theater playing. I remember that at this concert I was most moved by their song - "Blood Brothers" because I saw my happy and smiling mother listening to her favorite song from this band, and I am feeling like music connects people, and how it connects different generations. It is something beautiful and wonderful. During this song, I also fell and I am crying, because this song is also very important to me for personal reasons because it reminds me of my metal cousin who, unfortunately, died in a car accident and he was only 19 years old, but thanks to him because I listen to this wonderful music, he showed me the band Iron Maiden when I was 5 years old, and because of him I have great childhood memories, both musically and not only musical.
The Maiden concert, of course, ended classically with a song - Always Look On The Bright Side of Life by Monty Python, and I think that this is what I will summarize this concert and the whole festival with, that is, to catch the beautiful and good moments in life and to ''Look at the bright side of life''. A magical festival, magical concerts, and a magical atmosphere. It was one of my first such big concerts and also one that I will remember for a very long time in my memory and I will remember it for the rest of my life.

Gwiazda wieczoru: Iron Maiden
To już czas! 😃 zaczynamy nową serię. Dzisiejszym pierwszym wspomnieniem koncertowym, będzie Sonisphere Festiwal 2011 w Warszawie na którym miałem przyjemność być. Swoją drogą Sonisphere Festival był naprawdę dobrym i fajnym festiwalem według mnie, który odbywał się w większości krajów Europejskich na przestrzeni 2009 – 2016 roku. Festiwal upadł niestety prawdopodobnie z powodów finansowych.
Główną gwiazdą wieczoru na Warszawskim Bemowie była Legenda Heavy metalu czyli Iron Maiden. W moim sercu zagościła wielka radość, kiedy dowiedziałem się, że właśnie ten zespół będzie headlinerem, ponieważ jest to mój ulubiony zespół ogólnie ze świata muzyki. Supporty przed Maidenami były również rewelacyjne. Scena Główna prezentowała się następująco: Killing Joke, Devin Townsend Project, Volbeat, Mastodon, Motörhead no i na sam koniec wspomniana gwiazda wieczoru Iron Maiden! Na scenach mniejszych antyradia oraz na scenie Red Bull Tourbus zaprezentowały się takie zespoły jak: Hunter, Corruption, Made of Hate, Leash Eye, Chassis, Masturbator, Dead on Time oraz Mouga. Bardzo zależało mi na zobaczeniu zespołów Devin Townsend Project, Killing Joke, oraz Mastodon, ale niestety korki uliczne i przejechanie sporej drogi na festiwal sprawiło, że się po prostu spóźniłem na koncert tych muzycznych formacji. Natomiast jak się okazało, ''Nie ma tego złego co by na dobre nie wyszło'', ponieważ udało mi się zdążyć na absolutną legendę też z metalowego świata czyli Boga – Lemmy'ego i jego zespołu Motörhead. Jak się potem okazało miałem okazję zobaczyć go wtedy po raz pierwszy i ostatni raz w życiu, gdyż Lemmy odszedł od nas na zawsze 4 lata później. To jakie przedstawienie zaserwował nam Motörhead wraz z Lemmym to było coś więcej niż rozgrzanie publiki, oni po prostu skopali publice tyłki! Klasa sama w sobie. Jedynym minusem było tylko to, że Motörhead zagrało nieco ponad godzinę, ale rozumiem to z tego względu, że już wtedy Lemmy chyba odczuwał powoli swój zły stan zdrowia. Na pewno na długo zapamiętam to kiedy zagrali jeden z moich ulubionych ich kawałków czyli ‘’Kill by Death” tutaj bardzo pochwale publikę, która właśnie przy tym kawałku zgotowała chyba najlepszy mosh pit w jakim miałem przyjemność uczestniczyć w historii swoich koncertów metalowych na których byłem. Ktoś nawet podczas tego mosh pitu, zdjął swojego buta i rzucił w publikę dalej, niestety ktoś oberwał nim w głowę XD ale takie rzeczy podczas muzycznych festiwali to prawdziwe perełki i mają swój niepowtarzalny klimat i urok właśnie. Był Też jeden pan, który kompletnie nie znając mojej mamy odwrócił się do mnie i powiedział – Kocham twoją mamę! I to jest piękne!. Moja mama tylko się zaśmiała i była chyba w lekkim szoku, być może dlatego, że w sumie to był jej pierwszy koncert metalowy, a z racji tego że nie jest za bardzo w takich klimatach metalowych jak ja, to całe to wydarzenie było dla niej niesamowitą przygodą i nowym doświadczeniem życiowym, ale myślę że bardzo pozytywnym, zwłaszcza kiedy na scenie pojawili się już Maideni, których moja mama też bardzo lubi, zwłaszcza ich spokojne ballady metalowe takie jak np. – ‘’Blood Brothers”. Po świetnym występie Motörhead przyszedł czas na gwiazdę wieczoru czyli - Iron Maiden!,
Zespół był wtedy na trasie promującej swój album o nazwie ''The Final Frontier'' (2010) i chociaż osobiście ten album maidenów jest na mojej liście prawie ostatni i mi za bardzo nie podszedł, to jednak na żywo kawałki z tego albumu naprawdę zrobiły na mnie wrażenie. Krążek ''The Final Frontier'' jest w klimacie kosmosu, zarówno instrumentalnie, ambientowo jak i pod względem tekstowym. Na Bemowie zapadała już powoli noc i wszystkie koncerty były nawet blisko od płyty lotniska, więc to robiło naprawdę magiczną atmosferę kiedy Maideni zaczeli grać. Przed występem Iron Maiden wjechał klasyczny kawałek zespołu UFO o nazwie ''Doctor, Doctor'' który jest zawsze puszczany przed koncertem Maidenów (swego rodzaju intro/etrance koncertowe Maidenów). To znak, że największe emocje właśnie nadciągają. Musiałbym strasznie długo opisywać czym był dla mnie koncert Maidenów, zwłaszcza, że widziałem ich wtedy pierwszy raz w życiu na żywo, ale opiszę to krótko - ciarki, dreszcze, łzy szczęścia oraz wzruszeń. Zobaczyć swój ukochany zespół pierwszy raz na żywo, jest chyba spełnieniem marzeń dla każdego fana jakiegoś zespołu. Doskonała setlista, oraz dekoracja sceniczna no i kosmiczny robot Eddie. Można powiedzieć, że koncerty Maiden są niemalże jak dobra sztuka teatralna. Pamiętam, że najbardziej poruszył mnie na żywo na tym koncercie ich utwór – ‘’Blood Brothers” ponieważ widziałem moją szczęśliwą i uśmiechniętą mamę, z takiego powodu, że właśnie słucha ulubiony jej utwór od tego zespołu, i zrodziło się w moim sercu i myślach, coś w rodzaju odczucia jak muzyka łączy wieź między ludźmi, oraz jak łączy różne pokolenia. To coś pięknego i wspaniałego. Podczas tego utworu, poleciały mi również łzy, gdyż ten utwór jest również dla mnie bardzo ważny z powodów osobistych, a mianowicie kojarzy mi się z moim kuzynem metalowym, który niestety zginął w wypadku samochodowym i miał zaledwie 19 lat, ale to dzięki niemu słucham tej wspaniałej muzyki, on mi pokazał właśnie zespół Iron Maiden kiedy miałem 5 lat, i dzięki niemu mam wspaniałe wspomnienia z dzieciństwa - te muzycznie i nie tylko muzyczne.
Koncert Maidenów oczywiście, zakończył się klasycznie od tego czym kończą zawsze czyli puszczeniem utworu – ''Always Look On The Bright Side of Life'' Monty Pythonów, i myśle że właśnie tym podsumuję ten koncert jak i cały festiwal, a mianowicie aby łapać chwile w życiu piękne i te dobre, i patrzeć na jasną stronę. Magiczny festiwal, magiczne koncerty i magiczna atmosfera. Był to jeden z moich pierwszych tak dużych koncertów oraz zarazem taki który zapamiętam na bardzo długo i będę wspominał go do końca swojego życia.
