PARADOX 'Heresy' (1987) - Back To The Past

The second Paradox album tells the story of the Cathar Crusade; it kicks off with its intricate title track, filled with great riffs. We then proceed to be astonished by Search For Perfection, a song somewhat reminiscent of some of the top Anthrax stuff. We rattle on through the triplet madness of Kill time, this time a late Death kind of riffing. Crusaders Revenge is a rather brutal one, followed swiftly by The Burning and Massacre of the Cathars, probably the two heaviest tracks on the album.
700 Years On takes us to the "Anthrax-on-a-good-day vibes; the album then ends with Castle in the Wind, a little pearl of a song and a well-fitting finish to this record. The sound of lightning reverberates again to mark that we're done listening and it's time to drink some beer.
Heresy isn't just another thrash record; it's bloody excellent. Give it a spin and you'll love it.

Następny jest Search For Perfection, skądinąd podobny do szczytowych dokonań Anthrax. Dalej mamy triolowe szaleństwo w Killtime, pełny riffów które możnaby przyrównać do późnego Death. Crusaders Revenge to brutalny kawałek, po którym nastaje The Burning oraz Massacre of the Cathars, prawdopodobnie najcięższe nuty na tym krążku.
700 Years On ponownie wprowadza nas w klimaty Anthrax (tyle, że lepszego); album wieńczy Castle in the Wind, mała perełka - i wyśmienite zakończenie. Rozbrzmiewa piorun - to koniec albumu (i pora na puwo z piszki)
Heresy nie jest tylko kolejnym albumem thrashowym - jest zajebistym albumem thrashowym. Łatwo się zakochać.
