This extremely inspiring album was created by Avery Dart with CJ Yacoub performing session drums. The beautiful artwork that this album is completed with shows us the beauty of the fauna of the ocean and in addition, it keeps that doom/blackened metal feeling close, to enhance the reception of the outstanding music. The album marks the time of one hour and twenty minutes and delivers top-level doom/black/post-metal tracks.
After listening to nine tracks about humans polluting the ocean, We certainly should consider that matter and take action against that kind of behavior. Let's begin the review and maybe it'll inspire you, at least a bit, to think through certain matters, especially the one about the shortage of water or contamination of the ocean.
'Oceanic Womb' starts with an almost thirteen-minute track titled just like the album.
Upfront I want to say that this song was my favorite because of the diversity of metal genres put together nicely. It really felt like the genres were stitched together flawlessly, without any attempts of forcing them in order to make the song sound decent.
The majestic feeling of the mysterious ocean was captured and shown perfectly on this track. The vocals, drums, guitars, and other musical beautifiers were perfectly matched together, which resulted in a coherent track which provides you deep and strong emotions.
After listening to the first track I constantly got a feeling that something wasn't quite getting together.
I felt like each track was totally different than the other one and that they weren't connected, as I would like them to be. Each song seemed to be isolated from the other one and without any common feature.
I don't know if that was the creator's idea, or maybe he connected them somehow but I couldn't hear that. Nonetheless, that kinda bummed me, because I tend to prefer albums that have even the smallest detail in common. On the other hand, we get nine different stories from the depths of the ocean, so we can see and get to know its various faces.
I think that this as a good move, to kind of diverse the tracks, in order to introduce the listener to different faces of the ocean.
Speaking of faces of the ocean... it can be delicate and silent, furious and dangerous but always is mysterious and intriguing, and most importantly - one of a kind. In my opinion, all these features of the ocean were accurately mapped in the tracks.
We could hear songs inspired by its calmness, fury, and mystery.
While listening to the album, each will get a unique experience, which will bring deep, meaningful feelings and thoughts.
Basing on what I felt after listening to 'Oceanic Womb', I can tell you that You'll be left speechless and overflowed with thoughts about various matters - not only about contamination of the ocean but also the ones the had been roaming in your head for a long time and which finally this record got out of you.
I have listened to so many albums in my life, but I have never heard anything like 'Oceanic Womb'. It's a release that moves one to tears, while another one drowns in dreams about conquering rough waters of the ocean.
Despite the tracks not being connected well enough for me, I don't see anything else negative in this release.
Besides being an eye-opener for the current situation of the ocean, it also is a very intriguing album that shows us pretty interestingly mixed metal genres.
In addition, I've never heard about a metal album that was inspired by the ocean and focused on bringing closer the matter of its contamination.

Ten niezwykle inspirujący album został stworzony przez Avery'ego Darta z CJ Yacoubem na perkusji sesyjnej. Piękna oprawa graficzna, która uzupełnia ten album, ukazuje nam piękno fauny oceanu, a ponadto sprawia, że doom / blackened metal jest odczuwalny i trzymany blisko całego projektu, aby wzmocnić odbiór znakomitej muzyki. Album trwa godzinę i dwadzieścia minut oraz dostarcza utwory doom / black / post-metalowe na najwyższym poziomie.
Po wysłuchaniu dziewięciu utworów o ludziach zanieczyszczających ocean, z pewnością powinniśmy rozważyć tę sprawę i podjąć działania przeciwko tego rodzaju zachowaniom. Zacznijmy więc recenzję i dodatkowo mam nadzieję, żę zainspiruje Cię, przynajmniej trochę, do przemyślenia pewnych spraw, zwłaszcza tej dotyczącej niedoboru wody lub zanieczyszczenia oceanu.
„Oceanic Womb” zaczyna się prawie trzynastominutowym utworem zatytułowanym tak jak album.
Z góry chcę powiedzieć, że ta piosenka była moją ulubioną ze względu na różnorodność gatunków metalowych, które zostały ładnie połączone. Naprawdę wydawało się, że gatunki zostały zszyte ze sobą bezbłędnie, bez żadnych prób narzucania ich sobie nawzajem, aby utwór brzmiał przyzwoicie.
Majestatyczne uczucie tajemniczego oceanu zostało uchwycone i doskonale pokazane na tym utworze. Wokale, perkusja, gitary i inne muzyczne upiększenia zostały do siebie idealnie dopasowane, co zaowocowało spójnym utworem, który dostarcza głębokich i silnych emocji.
Po przesłuchaniu pierwszego utworu ciągle miałem wrażenie, że coś się nie zgadza.
Czułam, że każdy kolejny utwór jest zupełnie inny niż drugi i że nie są ze sobą połączone, tak jak bym chciała. Każda piosenka wydawała się być odizolowana od drugiej i bez żadnych cech wspólnych.
Nie wiem, czy to był pomysł twórcy, czy może jednak w jakiś sposób je połączył, ale tego nie usłyszałam. Niemniej jednak trochę mnie to wkurzyło, ponieważ wolę albumy, które mają wspólny, nawet najmniejszy szczegół. Z drugiej strony, jednak otrzymujemy dziewięć różnych historii z głębin oceanu, dzięki czemu możemy zobaczyć i poznać różne jego oblicza.
Myślę, że to dobre posunięcie, trochę urozmaicenie utworów, aby wprowadzić słuchacza w różne oblicza oceanu.
Skoro mowa o twarzach oceanu ... bywa ono delikatne i ciche, wściekłe i niebezpieczne, ale zawsze jest tajemnicze i intrygujące, a co najważniejsze - jedyne w swoim rodzaju. Moim zdaniem wszystkie te cechy oceanu zostały dokładnie odwzorowane we wszystkich utworach.
Mogliśmy usłyszeć piosenki inspirowane spokojem, wściekłością i tajemniczością.
Słuchając albumu, każdy otrzyma wyjątkowe doświadczenie, które przyniesie głębokie, znaczące uczucia i przemyślenia.
Opierając się na tym, co poczułam po przesłuchaniu `` Oceanic Womb '', mogę powiedzieć, że pozostaniecie oniemieli i przepełnieni myślami o różnych sprawach - nie tylko o skażeniu oceanu, ale także o tych, które krążyły po Waszych głowach przez długi czas, które w końcu wyszły z Was dzięki temu albumowi.
W swoim życiu przesłuchałam tak wiele płyt, ale nigdy nie słyszałam czegoś takiego jak „Oceanic Womb”. To album, który jednego doprowadza do łez, podczas gdy inni toną w snach o podboju wzburzonych wód oceanu.
Pomimo tego, że utwory nie są dla mnie wystarczająco dobrze połączone, nie widzę nic innego negatywnego w tym wydawnictwie.
Poza tym, że otwiera oczy na obecną sytuację oceanu, jest to również bardzo intrygujący album, który pokazuje nam dość ciekawie mieszane gatunki metalowe.
Dodatkowo, nigdy nie słyszałam o metalowym albumie inspirowanym oceanem i skupionym na przybliżeniu sprawy jego skażenia.
Mam nadzieję, że zaintrygował Was ten nietypowy temat albumu.
