LUCIFER'S DUNGEON - 'Within Vast Abyss'

If one said that black metal was in its decline I would surely agree... but after listening to Lucifer's Dungeon... oh man... the material blew me away and proved once again that Russian black metal is in its best shape nowadays.

Purely underground, dark, and brutal material contained on 'Within Vast Abyss' provided me an excellent listening experience that displayed a great example of the modern black metal sound that hailed the old-school soul of the genre.

I think that guitar riffs really deserve recognition here - very diverse and influenced work within each second introduces something new that brought a very old-school feeling.

What I'm very satisfied with, in terms of guitar riffs, is that they were rather diverse, but still had a common point in their sound. 

As a strong addition to these riffs, vocals brought out yet another dimension of depth and vast abyss of neverending dark black metal ideas.

What I have to point out, is the drum performance. I was in awe after listening to this awfully perfect and deeply tasteful performance.

'Within Vast Abyss' is a very decent, strong, and dark release that will certainly provide a top-level listening experience that'll blow you off your feet with its excellent cooperation of old-school soul and a rather modern sound.

Finally, we got a band that (with some other bands in companion) leads Black Metal in a proper direction nowadays.

Gdyby ktoś powiedział, że black metal jest w fazie upadku, z pewnością bym się zgodziła ... ale po przesłuchaniu Lucifer's Dungeon ... o rany ... ten materiał mnie powalił i po raz kolejny udowodnił, że rosyjski black metal jest obecnie w najlepszej formie. .

Czysto undergroundowy, mroczny i brutalny materiał zawarty na „Within Vast Abyss” dostarczył mi doskonałych wrażeń słuchowych, które pokazały wspaniały przykład nowoczesnego black metalowego brzmienia  nawiązujcego do oldschoolowej duszy gatunku.

Myślę, że gitarowe riffy naprawdę zasługują na uznanie – bardzo zróżnicowana i pełna bezkresnego talentu praca w każdej sekundzie wprowadza coś nowego, co wnosi bardzo oldschoolowy klimat.

Jeśli chodzi o riffy gitarowe, jestem bardzo zadowolona z tego, że były one dość zróżnicowane, ale mimo to miały wspólny punkt w brzmieniu.

Jako mocny dodatek do tych riffów, wokale wydobyły kolejny wymiar głębi i ogromną otchłań niekończących się, mrocznych black metalowych pomysłów.

Muszę również zwrócić uwagę na wydajność perkusji. Byłam pod wrażeniem po wysłuchaniu tego niesamowicie doskonałego i bardzo pełnego muzycznie doświadczenia.

„Within Vast Abyss” to bardzo przyzwoite, mocne i mroczne wydawnictwo, które z pewnością zapewni wrażenia słuchowe na najwyższym poziomie, które powalą Cię z nóg dzięki doskonałej współpracy oldschoolowej duszy i dość nowoczesnego brzmienia.

W końcu otrzymaliśmy zespół, który (wraz z innymi w towarzystwie) prowadzi obecnie Black Metal we właściwym kierunku.

 SAXON – 'Saxon' (1979) - Back To The Past

  Today's album is an absolute classic for fans of Heavy Metal and NWOBHM music. The album, which in my opinion is bloody underappreciated, and is really great and outstanding work. I've noticed that the Saxons have always been quite underappreciated. A bit as if they stood in the shadow of such bands in the 80s as Judas Priest or Iron Maiden, Accept, and in my opinion, they are on an equal footing with them and present beautiful classic heavy metal music.

 It is May 21, 1979, and the Saxon welcome us with such a great debut in their musical career. The instrumental beginning called 'Rainbow Theme' (here even in the riffs you can feel such a bit hard rock jams and riffs reminiscent of AC / DC music) the intro very beautiful and flows into one of the best songs on this album (privately next to 'Militia Guard', which composition on this CD is my favorite) I'm talking about 'Frozen Rainbow' A beautiful and very atmospheric heavy metal track. Slightly ballad-like structure of the song with a feeling of melancholy and nostalgia while listening. This piece, as well as many other Saxon tracks, reminds me of road, motorbikes, and riding them somewhere towards the setting sun! It is also worth adding that in this work we have a beautiful and also great atmospheric guitar solo. The third track on this album is 'Big Teaser' is a great and very lively, energetic track. Climates are characteristic of the genres of NWOBHM, heavy metal, and hard rock. The fourth number is 'Judgment Day' also a great track with a very atmospheric transition in the middle - a really great transition in the track followed by the return of energetic and classic riffs from the new wave of British heavy metal. The fifth track of 'Stallions of the Highway' is an absolute classic, beautiful number in Saxons' achievements. Energy is driving after energy here. Great riffs and another track that would be great to play while riding a motorcycle into the blue distance. The sixth track or 'Backs to the Wall' and the seventh 'Still Fit to Boogie' are probably the least I like the least of Saxon's debut, but they are still great songs in the spirit of NWOBHM. And it's time for the last number on this great album, 'Militia Guard', the last one, but what a track! Here is everything that I love about heavy metal music - drums at the beginning in a beautiful marching playing on the snare drum, excellent vocal choirs also in this composition, and great guitar riffs and solos. A really great ending to the album.

 The Saxon debut is a really strong position for the NWOBHM genre. As for me, one of the most important albums of the New Wave of British Heavy metal of the late 70s. It is worth adding that the atmosphere of the whole musical content here is also influenced by the fact that in the 70s it was a great analog sound of discs and the way of recording music. What more can I write - just listen, listen and listen again. Enjoy your ears! Grade: 10 out of 10. The whole album lasts less than half an hour, and we have calm moments, energetic and all emotions! Great harmony!

  Dzisiejszy album to absolutna klasyka dla fanów muzyki z gatunku Heavy Metalu i NWOBHM. Krążek, który według mnie jest cholernie niedoceniany, a jest naprawdę wspaniałym i wybitnym dziełem. Zauważyłem, że Saxoni zawszę byli dość niedoceniani. Trochę tak jakby stali w cieniu takich zespołów w latach 80 jak Judas Priest czy Iron Maiden, Accept, a według mnie stoją z nimi na równi i prezentują piękne klasyczne granie heavy metalowe. 

 Mamy 21 maja 1979 roku, a Saxoni witają nas tak świetnym debiutem w swojej muzycznej karierze. Instrumentalny początek o nazwie 'Rainbow Theme' (tutaj nawet w riffach czuć takie lekko hard rockowe zacięcia i riffy kojarzące mi się z muzyką od AC/DC) intro bardzo pięknie i płynie przechodzi w jeden z najlepszych według mnie utworów na tej płycie (prywatnie obok 'Militia Guard', która to kompozycja na tym CD jest moim faworytem) Mowa o 'Frozen Rainbow' Piękny i bardzo klimatyczny heavy metalowy kawałek. Lekko balladkowa budowa utworu z uczuciem melancholii i nostalgii podczas słuchania. Ten kawałek jak i wiele innych numerów od Saxonów kojarzy mi się z: drogą, motorami i pojechaniem na nich gdzieś w stronę zachodzącego słońca! Warto także dodać, że w tym dziele mamy przepiękną i również wspaniałą klimatyczną gitarową solówkę. Trzeci utwór na tym krążku to 'Big Teaser' to świetny i bardzo żywy, energiczny kawałek. Klimaty charakterystyczne dla gatunków NWOBHM, heavy metalu i hard rocka. Czwarty numer to 'Judgement Day' też świetny utwór z bardzo klimatycznym przejściem w środku – naprawdę wspaniałe przejście w utworze po którym następuję powrót energicznych i klasycznych riffów z nowej fali brytyjskiego heavy metalu. Piąty track 'Stallions of the Highway' to już absolutny klasyczny, piękny numer w dokonaniach Saxonów. Energia pogania tutaj energię. Wspaniałe riffy i kolejny numer, który świetnie pasowałby by puścić go sobie jadąc na motorze w siną dal. Szósty utwór czyli 'Backs to the Wall' i siódmy 'Still Fit to Boogie' chyba najmniej podobają mi się z  całego debiuta Saxona, ale są to i tak nadal świetne utwory utrzymane w duchu NWOBHM. No i czas na ostatni numer na tej świetnej płycie czyli 'Militia Guard' ostatni, ale za to jaki kawałek! Tutaj jest wszystko to co kocham w muzyce heavy metalowej – perkusja na początku w pięknym marszowym zagraniu na werblu, wyśmienite wokalne chórki też są w tej kompozycji no i wspaniałe gitarowe riffy oraz solówki. Naprawdę wspaniałe zakończenie płyty. 

  Podsumowując, debiut Saxonów to naprawdę silna pozycja dla gatunku NWOBHM. Jak dla mnie jeden z najważniejszych nawet albumów z Nowej Fali Brytyjskiego Heavy metalu końca lat 70. Warto dodać, że na klimat całej zawartości tutaj muzycznej ma też wpływ to, że w latach 70 było to wspaniałe analogowe brzmienie płyt i sposobu nagrywania muzyki. Co tu więcej pisać – po prostu słuchać, słuchać i jeszcze raz słuchać. Cieszyć swoje uszy! Ocena: 10 na 10. Cała płyta trwa niecałe półgodziny, a mamy w niej spokojne momenty, energiczne i wszystkie emocje! Wspaniała wyrównana harmonia!

 VOLAND – 'Voland III: Царепоклонство - Il culto degli Zar' EP

  Voland is a very interesting band, because the musicians of this project in the atmosphere of Symphonic / Folk black metal come from, and their compositions and lyrics write about the history of Russia, and generally about the revolution in the world is. It is definitely not black metal for everyone, but I think that for fans of symphonic music combined with folk and marching, military music, all mixed together with metal music, it can be a real gem for everyone. For fans of Russian history and just history. We start on purpose! 

  We have a bit of mixing in each piece on this album and in each composition we will hear a mix of folk, symphonic music, marching music, soldier and metal music (this is quite interesting) In one of the songs I even noticed that there is a melody from the beginning of the composition 'Mother Russia'from Iron Maiden. Interestingly, we also have a lot of elements of classical music here and a treat for violin fans, because we will hear a part of this instrument here quite often. On the plus side, on this album, I also deserve praise for the drums and their sound. We have here the beautiful D-Beat, classic for black metal and punk music, which is quite a 'Polka' tempo of the songs. Overall, this EP lasts less than 40 minutes, but listening to Voland's music is very pleasant. Due to the fact that the mix and mastering - the sound of the entire EP is very well done. Very good sound of guitars and vocals. And of course the drums. There is also a well-kept proportion between the volume of all the instruments and the vocals.

  To sum up, as I mentioned at the beginning, Voland is a band that fans of classic black metal, etc. are unlikely to like. On the other hand, fans of folk metal and symphonic black metal and history fans will like it. It is worth adding that on this EP we also have two bonus tracks, which are simply compositions from the band's previous releases. These additional tracks are 'Dubina' (Live in the studio) and 'Leningrad' (Live in the studio) Very interesting and quite cool sounding tracks in my opinion. Besides, I personally think that Voland, due to the fact that through his lyrics, belongs to the genre of so-called 'war metal', this music is much better, deeper, and simply more real and serious than what I present with 'war metal'.   Voland to bardzo ciekawy zespół, ponieważ muzycy tego projektu w klimatach Symfonicznego / Folk black metalu pochodzą z Włoch, a swoje kompozycje i teksty utworów piszą o historii Rosji, oraz ogólnie o tym czym jest rewolucja na świecie. Nie jest to na pewno black metal dla każdego, ale myślę, że dla fanów muzyki symfonicznej połączonej trochę z folkiem i z marszową, żołnierską muzyką, a to wszystko razem wymieszane z muzyką metalową może być dla niektórych osób naprawdę prawdziwą perełką. Zwłaszcza dla sympatyków historii i historii Rosji. Zaczynamy recenzję! 

  W każdym w sumie utworze na tej płycie mamy trochę wymieszania i w każdej kompozycji usłyszymy wymieszanie: folku, muzyki symfonicznej, muzyki marszowej, żołnierskiej i metalowej (to jest dość w sumie ciekawe) W jednym z utworów wychwyciłem nawet, że jest melodia z początku kompozycji 'Mother Russia' od Iron Maiden. Co ciekawe jeszcze mamy tutaj także sporo elementów muzyki klasycznej i gratka dla fanów skrzypiec, ponieważ usłyszymy tutaj partię tego instrumentu dość często. Na plus na pewno na tym albumie zasługuję również pochwalenie perkusji i jej brzmienia. Mamy tutaj klasyczne dla black metalu jak i muzyki punkowej przepiękny D-Beat, czyli takie dość Polkowe tempo utworów. Całość ogólnie tej EP-ki trwa niecałe 40 minut, ale słucha się muzyki Volanda bardzo przyjemnie. Ze względu też na to, że mix oraz mastering – brzmienie całej EP-ki jest bardzo dobrze zrobione. Bardzo dobre brzmienie gitar, oraz wokali. No i oczywiście perkusji. Jest też dobrze zachowana proporcja pomiędzy głośnością wszystkich instrumentów i wokalu. 

  Podsumowując, tak jak już wspomniałem na początku Voland jest zespołem,  który fanom klasycznego black metalu itp. raczej się nie spodoba. Natomiast fanom folk metalu i symfonicznego black metalu i fanom historii i histori Rosji jak najbardziej może się spodobać. Warto dodać, że na tej EP-ce mamy także dwa bonusowe tracki, które są po prostu kompozycjami ze wcześniejszych wydawnictw zespołu. Te dodatkowe numery to 'Dubina' (Na żywo w studiu) oraz 'Leningrad' (Na żywo w studiu) Bardzo ciekawe i dość fajne w brzmieniu kawałki według mnie. Poza tym myślę osobiście, że Voland z racji tego, że poprzez swoje teksty należy do gatunku tak zwanego 'war metalu' to i tak jest to muzyka znacznie lepsza, głębsza i po prostu bardziej prawdziwa i poważna niż to co z 'war metalu' prezentuję zespół Sabaton.

SPECTRAL DANCE - 'A Thousand Hells'

    Death Defier Productions yet again put out a great full-length album - this time by a one-man band called SPECTRAL DANCE. 'A Thousand Hells' is a must-listen album for raw underground black metal fans. This release really brings a full listening experience filled with brutality-enforced riffs, fast and furious drums, painfully devilish vocals. I can surely say that this is the best release by DDP up to date. Let's get deeper into analyzing this killer release.

    Right in the beginning I already knew this was going to be a hell of a release.'A Thousand Hells' feels like a material recorded straight on a 90's BM band practice - its deadly riffs resonate with a strong underground soul which is enforced by very extremely brutal drums, which were the main driving force here. These flawlessly done instruments provided a strong and dark background for furious vocals - their scratchiness and devilish sound completed the album, making it seem as if it really was recorded in the early '90s in a dark, cold cellar. In addition to the musically perfect side of the album, the mood face of the release was tremendously rich in very deep and cold feelings which allowed me to drift into a magical frosty world of devilish black metal.

    I have to say that we all should bow down to this hell of an album. After listening to it, I was extremely satisfied with every single detail present in the music.  'A Thousand Hells' provided me a very rich listening experience, that contained noteworthy musicianship as well as a full spectrum of cold and distant feelings. I really hope that we'll get another album by Spectral Dance under the flag of DDP.

    Death Defier Productions po raz kolejny wydało wspaniały, pełnometrażowy album - tym razem jest to jednoosobowy zespół o nazwie SPECTRAL DANCE. „A Thousand Hells” to album obowiązkowy dla fanów surowego undergroundowego black metalu. To wydawnictwo naprawdę zapewnia pełne wrażenie słuchowe, wypełnione brutalnymi riffami, szybką i wściekłą perkusją, boleśnie diabelskim wokalem. Z całą pewnością mogę powiedzieć, że jest to najlepsze jak dotąd wydanie DDP. Przejdźmy zatem do analizy tego zabójczego wydania.

    Już na początku wiedziałam, że będzie to piekielnie dobre wydanie. „A Thousand Hells” przypomina materiał nagrany bezpośrednio na próbach zespołu BM z lat 90-tych - jego zabójcze riffy rezonują silną podziemną duszą, wspieraną przez niezwykle brutalne bębny, które były tu główną siłą napędową. Te perfekcyjnie wykonane instrumenty stanowiły mocne mroczne tło dla wściekłych wokali - ich szorstkość i diabelskie brzmienie dopełniły album, sprawiając, że wydawało się, że naprawdę został nagrany na początku lat 90 w ciemnej, zimnej piwnicy. Oprócz doskonałej muzycznie strony albumu, nastrojowe oblicze wydawnictwa było niezwykle bogate w bardzo głębokie i mroźne odczucia, które pozwoliły mi wejść w magiczny, zamglony świat diabelskiego black metalu.

    Stwierdzam, że wszyscy powinniśmy pokłonić się temu piekielnie dobremu albumowi. Po przesłuchaniu byłam niezwykle zadowolona z każdego szczegółu obecnego w muzyce. „A Thousand Hells” dostarczył mi bardzo bogatych wrażeń słuchowych, które zawierały godną uwagi muzykalność oraz pełne spektrum zimnych i odległych uczuć. Mam wielką nadzieję, że dostaniemy kolejny album Spectral Dance pod flagą DDP.

  WARDÉN – 'Vaikus' Single

    Wardén is an Estonian band playing in Blackened Death Metal climates (for me we also have some groove and doom metal elements here). Musicians of this musical formation usually sing in their compositions about things related to the nature of people, about the lies we live in, and about silence, which we need. What's more interesting, this band releases and produces their own music (I think they record their music with home recording) and I have to admit that they are great at it. Because of being an independent band from some record label, they are doing really great and they manage to achieve their own sound while playing - even when they achieve it by recording and making music at home.

  The single I'm reviewing today is very short. It only takes 9 minutes and includes two pieces. Nevertheless, I have to admit that after these two songs I can hear that the band has a clear potential in their music because they manage to achieve their own musical style. As I mentioned above, this band plays such a nice mix of 4 musical styles in the metal world. This mix is Black, Death metal, Groove metal, and Doom metal. Overall, Estonia has really interesting bands on its metal scene that play at a fairly high level of music.

  All in all, there are two songs on this single. The first one is 'Vaikus' a strong, heavy track with a bit of heavy doom riffs and great drums (especially the drums sound is really good for this single in my opinion) The second track 'Place Of Lies' is a more melodic track, but still, there are also elements of sluggish riffs like in doom metal, there are also characteristic themes for black metal and death metal. In general, I think that I will be able to write more about the work and music of this musical group when they record their first full-length album, or some of their longer EPs (which, of course, I am waiting impatiently and with great curiosity). I look great and I think every fan of a mix of death, black, doom, and groove metal should check out this single from Estonian metalheads. I heartily recommend it!

     Wardén to pochodzący z Estonii zespół grający w klimatach Blackened Death Metalu (jak dla mnie mamy tu także trochę elementy groove i doom metalu) Muzycy tej formacji muzycznej zazwyczaj śpiewają w swoich kompozycjach o rzeczach związanych z: naturą ludzi, o kłamstwach w których żyjemy i o ciszy, której potrzebujemy. Co jeszcze ciekawe to ten zespół sam wydaję i produkuję swoją muzykę (chyba nagrywają swoją muzykę domowym sposobem nagrywania) i muszę przyznać, że świetnie im to wychodzi. Bo jak na bycie niezależnym zespołem od jakieś wytwórni muzycznej to naprawdę świetnie sobie radzą i udaję im się osiągnąć własne brzmienie w graniu – nawet gdy to osiągają przez własne domowe nagrywanie i tworzenie muzyki. 

  Singiel, który dziś recenzuję jest bardzo króciutki. Trwa zaledwie 9 minut i znajdują się na nim dwa kawałki. Mimo tego muszę przyznać, że po tych dwóch utworach słyszę, że zespół ma wyraźny potencjał w swojej muzyce, ponieważ udaję im się osiągnąć własny styl muzyczny. Jak już wspomniałem wyżej ten zespół gra taką fajną mieszankę 4 stylów muzycznych w świecie metalowym. Tą mieszanką jest: Black, Death metal, Groove metal i Doom metal. W sumie Estonia na swojej scenie metalowej ma naprawdę ciekawe zespoły grające na dość wysokim poziomie muzycznym. 

  Podsumowując, na tym singlu znajdują się dwa utwory. Pierwszy z nich to 'Vaikus' utwór mocny, ciężki z takimi ociężałymi doomowymi riffami trochę i ze świetną perkusją (zwłaszcza brzmienie perkusji według mnie jest naprawdę dobre na całym tym singlu) Drugi utwór 'Place Of Lies' jest już bardziej melodycznym kawałkiem, ale ciągle występują w nim jeszcze elementy ociężałych riffów jak w doom metalu. Są tu również charakterystyczne motywy dla black metalu i death metalu. Myślę ogólnie, że więcej o twórczości i muzyce tej grupy muzycznej będę mógł po prostu więcej napisać gdy nagrają swój pierwszy długogrający album, lub jakaś swoją dłuższą EP-ke (na co oczywiście z niecierpliwością i z ogromną ciekawością czekam) Na razie i tak zespół jak dla mnie prezentuję się świetnie i myślę, że każdy fan mieszanki death, blacku, doomu i groove metalu powinien zapoznać się z tym singlem od Estońskich metalowców. Serdecznie polecam!

CAUSAM - 'Doomsday Rapture'

A very recent atmospheric black metal release 'Doomsday Rapture' captured my attention and provoked many opposite feelings.

This is the first full-length release in Causam's discography- that's quite a brave move to release something so significant so early in a career.

Nevertheless, I enjoy seeing that kind of bravery, how the band trusts in its own music and dives straight into deep waters.

With this kind of energy, I hopped right into listening to 'Doomsday Rapture', and to be honest, bravery only bravery could be heard while all my hopes for a killer album fell apart. 

The musical side of the release surprised me at first, with its mood influential, magical intro which transferred me to the swiss world of old folk stories and legends... but then, the more I listened to the album, I definitely noticed that guitar riffs were way too monotonous, on some tracks they were almost identical... Everything was way too similar, almost as if the guys recorded one 34 minute song and then they divided it into separate tracks. Obviously, it's a positive thing when the album tells one, deep story told in separate tracks in which there are common characteristics, but in this case, there was too much similarity, so as a result, everything sounded almost the same - the riffs, the drums, and the vocals, which for me were the weakest link in the entire release. In contrary to the instruments, which somehow were varied, and tried to break out of monotony, the vocals really seemed as if they were recorded all at once, without paying much attention and putting feelings in them.

This dull character of 'Doomsday Rapture' prevented me from getting a decent and meaningful emotional experience. In contrary to that, I could only hear the utter bravery of the band, since they put out a full-length right away but with a poor outcome...

Was that release a good move for Causam? I can't really tell, because at some points (whole 'Meritocracy') it was worth listening to, meanwhile, all the other tracks weren't enjoyable.

In addition to that, the album wasn't enjoyable because of the lack of emotions and extreme dullness.

Nevertheless, I hope that Causam's next release will be at least a bit more varied and interesting compared to 'Doomsday Rapture'.

Bardzo niedawno wydany, klimatyczny black metalowy album „Doomsday Rapture” przykuł moją uwagę i wywołał wiele przeciwstawnych uczuć.

Ten album to pierwsze pełnometrażowe wydawnictwo w dyskografii Causam - jest to dość odważne posunięcie, by wydać coś tak znaczącego na tak wczesnym etapie kariery.

Niemniej jednak cieszę się, widząc tego rodzaju odwagę, jak zespół ufa własnej muzyce i rzuca się prosto w głębokie wody.

Z taką energią i ja wskoczyłam do słuchania „Doomsday Rapture” i szczerze mówiąc, słychać było tylko odwagę chłopaków podczas gdy wszystkie moje nadzieje na zabójczy album powoli rozpadały się.

Muzyczna strona wydawnictwa zaskoczyła mnie początkowo swoim wpływowym magicznym intro, które przeniosło mnie w szwajcarski świat starych ludowych opowieści i legend ... ale potem, im więcej słuchałam albumu, zdecydowanie zauważyłam, że riffy były zbyt monotonne, w niektórych utworach prawie identyczne ... Wszystko było zbyt podobne, prawie tak, jakby chłopaki nagrywali jedną 34-minutową piosenkę, a potem podzielili ją na osobne ścieżki. Oczywiście dobrze jest jak album opowiada jedną, głęboką historię w osobnych utworach, w których są wspólne cechy, ale w tym przypadku było zbyt wiele podobieństw, więc w efekcie wszystko brzmiało prawie tak samo - riffy, perkusja, a najgorszy był wokal - najsłabsze ogniwo całego wydawnictwa. W przeciwieństwie do instrumentów, które w jakiś sposób były urozmaicone i próbowały wyrwać się z monotonii, wokale naprawdę wydawały się nagrane za jednym razem, bez zwracania na nie większej uwagi i wkładania w nie uczuć.

Ten nudny charakter „Doomsday Rapture” uniemożliwił mi uzyskanie przyzwoitego i znaczącego emocjonalnego przeżycia. Wręcz przeciwnie, mogłam tylko usłyszeć całkowitą odwagę i pewność siebie zespołu, gdyż od razu wydali pełnometrażowy album jednak z marnym skutkiem.

Czy to wydanie było dobrym posunięciem dla Causam? Trudno powiedzieć, bo w niektórych momentach (cała „Meritocracy”) warto było posłuchać, a wszystkie inne utwory nie były przyjemne, nie dało się słuchać jednego i tego samego pomysłu w kółko.

Poza tym album nie był interesujący ze względu na brak emocji i okropną nudę, która niemiłosiernie się szerzyła przez wszystkie utwory.

Niemniej jednak mam nadzieję, że następne wydawnictwo Causam będzie przynajmniej trochę bardziej urozmaicone i interesujące w porównaniu do „Doomsday Rapture”.

 SECRETS OF SILENCE – 'Satan’s Arrival' EP

   Secrets Of Silence is a metal band from India (exactly from the city of Tripura) representing the genre of Thrash / Black metal I must honestly admit that when I saw the cover album art of this EP, I misjudged this band too quickly. The cover is not my type, because I like more generally when the covers of music CDs are hand-drawn, and not like in this case made with graphic programs on a computer, but the saying 'Don't judge a book by its cover' always works, because the music on this short material of just 13 minutes is really good, delicious and has a lot of potentials. 

  It is a pity that this musical formation only released this EP since 2019 because I would really like to listen to their first full-length material! Let's start now to discuss the EP 'Satan's Arrival' The overall sound of individual instruments, melodies, and guitar riffs is generally associated with Secrets Of Silence with three metal bands, and these are the groups: Slayer, Dissection, and Sabbat (from Japan) and I think exactly that during the creation of this EP the guys were under the greatest influence of the bands mentioned above. From the first track on this album, 'Chaos In Hell', which is a really nice mix of black and thrash metal, until the end of the EP, 'Blood Raven in Heaven;' each track is great, even and has its own unique atmosphere. , and most importantly and best - riffs come to mind very quickly! The drums on this EP also do a good job. My overall favorite composition on this EP is the number three on this album, 'Satan's Arrival'. Here's an amazing thing, because the riff starting exactly 29 seconds has a really simple structure, but it sounds so old-school that it really is. I've played it in a loop 100 times! To me, this riff sounds a bit like some unpublished Slayer song from their time when they released Reign In Blood (1986). Simplicity in music often helps and is the best idea! Especially in riffs and melodies.

  To sum up, Secrets Of Silence only confirms to me that metal bands from India (especially Death metal and Thrash metal) have great potential and sound like a solid dose of real old-school metal. I hope as I wrote earlier here, that Secrets Of Silence will finally release their first full-length material. I will be waiting impatiently. I recommend this album to all metal music fans who like decent Thrash metal riffs with a slight breeze and raw black metal. I especially recommend this release to fans of the early activities of the Slayer band.

  Secrets Of Silence to pochodzący z Indii (dokładnie z miasta Tripura) zespół metalowy reprezentujący gatunek Thrash / Black metalu. Przyznam szczerze, że kiedy zobaczyłem okładkę do tej EP-ki to źle oceniłem zbyt szybko ten zespół. Okładka nie jest w moim typie, ponieważ bardziej lubię gdy okładki płyt muzycznych są ręcznie rysowane, a nie jak w tym wypadku robione programami graficznymi na komputerze, ale jednak powiedzenie 'Nie oceniaj książki po okładce' jak najbardziej się zawsze sprawdza, ponieważ muzyka na tym krótkim materiale trwającym zaledwie 13 minut jest naprawdę dobra, wyśmienita i ma duży potencjał. 

   Szkoda tylko, że ta formacja muzyczna od 2019 roku wydała tylko te  EP-kę, bo naprawdę chciałbym przesłuchać ich pierwszego długogrającego materiału! Zacznijmy teraz do omówienia EP-ki 'Satan’s Arrival' Brzmienie ogólnie poszczególnych instrumentów, melodii oraz riffów gitarowych kojarzy mi się u Secrets Of Silence z trzema metalowymi zespołami, a są nimi grupy: Slayer, Dissection i Sabbat (z Japonii) i myślę właśnie, że podczas tworzenia tej EP-ki chłopaki byli właśnie pod największym wpływem właśnie tych kapel, które wymieniłem tu wyżej. Począwszy od pierwszego utworu na tej płycie, czyli 'Chaos In Hell'. który jest naprawdę bardzo fajną mieszanką blacku i thrash metalu, aż do końca EP-ki czyli 'Blood Raven in Heaven' każdy kawałek jest świetny, równy i ma swój wyjątkowy klimat, oraz co najważniejsze i najlepsze – riffy wchodzą bardzo szybko do głowy! Perkusja na tej EP-ce też robi dobrą robotę. Moim faworytem ogólnie kompozycyjnym na tej EP-ce jest numer trzeci na tym krążku czyli tytułowy 'Satan’s Arrival' Tutaj dzieje się rzecz niesamowita, ponieważ riff zaczynający się dokładnie od 29 sekundy ma naprawdę nieskomplikowaną budowę, ale brzmi tak mega old-schoolowo, że naprawdę puszczałem go sobie w zapętleniu aż 100 razy! Jak dla mnie ten riff brzmi trochę jak jakiś wypas nieopublikowany utwór Slayera z ich czasów, kiedy wydali płytę Reign In Blood (1986) Prostota w muzyce często pomaga i jest najlepszym pomysłem! Zwłaszcza w riffach i melodiach. 

   Podsumowując to Secrets Of Silence tylko potwierdza mnie w tym, że zespoły metalowe z Indii (zwłaszcza Death metalowe i Thrash metalowe) mają ogromny potencjał i brzmią jak solidna dawka prawdziwego old-schoolowego metalu. Mam nadzieję, jak już wcześniej tu pisałem, że Secrets Of Silence w końcu wyda swój pierwszy długogrający materiał. Będę czekał z niecierpliwością. Ten album polecam wszystkim fanom muzyki metalowej, którzy lubią porządne Thrash metalowe riffy z lekkim powiewem chłodu i surowości black metalu. Zwłaszcza polecam to wydawnictwo wielbicielom wczesnej działalności zespołu Slayer.
