   The Judas Priest concert in Poland was a huge and unique event for me. For example, because it was the first chance in my life to see them in action live - this is how to see heavy metal gods live! The band was then on a tour promoting their 2014 album, 'Redeemer Of Souls'. I went to this concert with my uncle, who is also a fan of metal music (especially heavy metal), and his beloved band is Judas Priest! I invite you to my memories from this concert. 

  The entrance to the concert was from 6 p.m. and I remember that we came to the Atlas Arena in Łódź with my uncle quite late. We didn't manage to see the support team and we managed to get the Judas themselves. I have been to Atlas Arena for concerts several times, for example at Iron Maiden, and I really like this hall. The acoustics are not bad about it (certainly a hundred times better than at the National Stadium in Warsaw ..) and the atmosphere of the concerts in this place is always very special and magical for me. I have good memories of this place. When the Judas entered the stage, real emotions began. I felt a great excitement that for the first time in the history of metal concerts that I have attended so far, today I will see the Judas for the first time. I also saw the excitement and joy in my uncle's eyes that he would see his beloved band. All in all, my uncle got a Priest ticket on his birthday so it was really special for him and probably one of the best birthday gifts he has ever had. Time! Start! That is, before the concert of Judas, the War Pigs from Black Sabbath sounded from the loudspeakers, and then the Judas started their show with a real firecracker, i.e. with a composition - 'Battle Cry'! What energy for the stage! I knew that the real Heavy Metal feast had just begun and nothing could stop it! As for Halford's vocal form, I was pleased with it. It is known that it was not the same Rob's vocal as in the 70s or 80s when he was at the top of his vocal skills, but in Halford's vocal, there is still this unique charm and enormous energy. For this respect for him. As for me, it was also great live and during solos Richie Faulkner, who, as we know, replaced K.K. Downing. Of course, Judas, apart from the songs from the album 'Redeemer Of Souls', also played their greatest classics and their outstanding works. I could enjoy such songs as: 'Metal Gods' genius 'Victim of Changes' 'Turbo Lover 'Beyond The Realms of Death' 'Breaking The Law' 'Hell Bent For Leather' 'Jawbreaker' and the biggest ones for me mighty and immortal works of Judas, i.e. 'Electric Eye' (of course with a beautiful introduction to it - 'The Hellion') 'You've Got Another Thing Comin' Incredible 'Painkiller' where, of course, the brilliant drummer such as Scott Travis gives a show great percussion skills, and 'Living After Midnight'

  Summing up what there is to write a lot, you just have to experience such a real beautiful heavy metal feast! I can come to the concerts of Judas or Maidens non-stop because I can receive this dose of energy and power from this music, and not only music but also energy from Rob and other members of the band This is what I just live and add to myself with endless amounts of energy! I hope to see the Judas live in action a few more times! Their concerts are also beautiful in terms of the fact that for me it is also a show of real craftsmanship and hard work on music. What I mean here is working on the interplay of the band live, guitar work (generally the entire instrument section), and vocals.

 Koncert Judas Priest w Polsce był dla mnie ogromnym i wyjątkowym wydarzeniem. Chociażby z racji tego, że była to dla mnie pierwsza okazja w życiu do zobaczenia ich w akcji na żywo – tak zobaczenia metalowych bogów Heavy Metalu na żywo! Zespół był wtedy na trasie koncertowej promującej swój album z 2014 roku czyli 'Redeemer Of Souls' Na ten koncert pojechałem z wujkiem, który również jest fanem muzyki metalowej (zwłaszcza heavy metalu), a jego ukochanym zespołem jest właśnie Judas Priest! Zapraszam do moich wspomnień z tego koncertu. 

  Wejście na koncert było od godziny 18:00 i pamiętam, że pod Atlas Arenę w Łodzi przyjechaliśmy z wujkiem dość późno. Nie zdążyliśmy zobaczyć zespołu supportującego i zdążyliśmy w sumie na samych Judasów. Kilka razy w sumie byłem już w Atlas Arenie na koncertach, np. na Iron Maiden i w sumie podoba mi się ta hala. Akustyka nie jest w niej jakaś zła (Na pewno sto razy lepsza niż na Narodowym w Warszawie..) a i atmosfera koncertów w tym miejscu jest dla mnie jakoś zawsze bardzo wyjątkowa i magiczna. Dobrze wspominam to miejsce. Kiedy Judasi już weszli na scenę zaczęły się prawdziwe emocje. Czułem wielkie podekscytowanie, że właśnie po raz pierwszy w historii koncertów metalowych na jakich do tej pory byłem to właśnie dziś zobaczę po raz pierwszy Judasów, których uwielbiam. W oczach mojego wujka również  widziałem podekscytowanie i radość, że zobaczy swój ukochany zespół. W sumie mój wujek dostał bilet na Priestów w dniu swoich urodzin, więc był to dla niego naprawdę wyjątkowy i chyba jeden z najlepszych prezentów urodzinowych jakie miał. Czas! Start! To znaczy przed koncertem Judasów wybrzmiało jeszcze z kolumn War Pigs od Black Sabbath, a potem Judasi zaczęli swoje show prawdziwą petardą czyli kompozycją – 'Battle Cry'! Cóż za energia na scenię! Wiedziałem, że prawdziwa  Heavy metalowa uczta właśnie wtedy się rozpoczęła i już nic nie będzie w stanie jej zatrzymać! Co do formy wokalnej Halforda to byłem z niej zadowolony. Wiadomo, że nie był to już ten sam wokal Roba co w latach 70 czy 80 kiedy był on na szczycie swoich umiejętności wokalnych to jednak w wokalu Halforda jest ciągle ten wyjątkowy urok i ogromna energia. Za to szacunek dla niego. Jak dla mnie też świetnie wypadł na żywo i podczas solówek Richie Faulkner, który jak wiemy zastąpił K.K. Downinga. Oczywiście Judasi oprócz utworów z płyty 'Redeemer Of Souls’' zagrali także swoje największe klasyki i ich wybitne dzieła. Mogłem nacieszyć się takimi utworami jak: 'Metal Gods' genialne 'Victim of Changes' 'Turbo Lover' 'Beyond The Realms of Death' 'Breaking The Law' 'Hell Bent For Leather' 'Jawbreaker' no i na bisy jak dla mnie największe mocarne i nieśmiertelne dzieła Judasów czyli 'Electric Eye' (oczywiście z pięknym wstępem do niego – 'The Hellion') 'You’ve Got Another Thing Comin' Niesamowity 'Painkiller' gdzie oczywiście genialny perkusista jakim jest Scott Travis daję przy tym kawałku popis swoich ogromnych umiejętności perkusyjnych, no i 'Living After Midnight'

   Podsumowując to co tu dużo pisać to trzeba po prostu przeżyć taką prawdziwą piękną heavy metalową ucztę! Na koncerty Judasów czy Maidenów mogę przychodzić non stop,  ponieważ tą dawkę energii i mocy od tej muzyki, a także nie tylko muzyki, bo również energii od Roba i pozostałych członków zespołu mogę przyjmować w nieskończoność!  Tym po prostu żyję i dodaję sobie nieskończonych pokładów energii! Mam nadzieję, że uda mi się jeszcze parę razy zobaczyć Judasów na żywo w akcji! Ich koncerty są piękne także pod względem tego, że jest to też w sumie jak dla mnie show prawdziwego rzemiosła i ciężkiej pracy nad muzyką. Mam tu na myśli pracy nad wzajemnym zgraniem się zespołu na żywo, pracy gitarowej (ogólnie całej sekcji instrumentów) i wokalu.

 FATES WARNING – 'No Exit' (1988) – Back To The Past

   Fates Warning is a band that in my opinion does not need to be introduced to fans of Progressive / Power Heavy metal! In my opinion, they, along with Symphony X, are absolute masters of this genre. Although privately their fourth album (the one I am recalling today) - 'No Exit' is not my favorite work. However, this is an outstanding album and, in my opinion, every fan of progressive metal should know it, or listen to it at least once in their life. Before I go to the main review, let me just say that my favorite Fates Warning discs are their two albums: 'The Specter Within' (1985) and 'Awaken The Guardian'. John Arch was vocal on these albums. Arch, and privately he is also my favorite vocalist of this formation! If you love metal voices like Rob Halford or Bruce Dickinson or Geoff Tate from Queensrÿche, I think you will love Arch's voice! Another vocalist has just appeared since the album 'No Exit' and Arch has been replaced by Ray Alder - who is also a great singer in my opinion and has a big potential in his voice (By the way, he also has a vocal similar to Halford and Dickinson and to Geoff Tate - in this style But that's just something I miss a bit in his voice. In Arch's voice, my ears only hear perfection. Let's start the review!  

    Hmmm, what can I write about this album. For me, it is a beautiful example and a beautiful material of fusion and mix of such metal genres as - Thrash metal, progressive metal, classic heavy metal, and power metal! All these genres, mixed together with a beautifully broken pace, create a truly unique and extraordinary mixture of metal music! It's actually an album that I can describe as Pink Floyd's metal album - 'The Wall' (1979) or something like Rush and their album '2112' (1976). A fan of such music and fond of long progressive metal music with this album will not be disappointed. Let me now list my favorite composition for 'No Exit'. These are the following pieces - track number four on the album 'In a Word'. The whole atmosphere of this track, quite thrashes riffs and a beautiful introduction to the classical guitar make me buy this track! The next composition, which is number five on the disc is - 'Shades Of Heavenly Death'. Great atmosphere of the song, great riffs again, mixed broken tempo on the drums. Well, that's just what I love! in progressive music! And it's time for the best and last track from this album, but what track. It's not even a song, but a real musical magnum opus at the end of this great album! A real giant, 'The Ivory Gate of Dreams', a composition that lasts 21 minutes and 25 seconds! This work consists of 8 parts and that is why I compared this album to the metal version of Pink Floyd's album 'The Wall' and Rush '2112'. In terms of composition, this opus magnum from Fates Warning is arranged in a similar way, i.e. it is arranged in the same way as the composition '2112' from the band Rush! For almost half an hour, this issue has everything! A great melody, riffs that immediately hit the head, a great show of vocal skills. Well, just everything that every connoisseur of progressive metal loves! Thanks to this composition, this album is just such a gem! Privately, my favorite part of this song is part number six, 'Whispers On The Wind'. In this fragment, we have a great work of a classical guitar and Ray Alder is showing off his skills of singing very atmospheric parts in his voice.

  To sum it up, in my opinion, the album 'No Exit' by Fates Warning is a symbol of the fact that the 80s and 90s for metal music (in this case for progressive metal music exactly) were golden years! Albums like this one or the first albums from the band Symphony X are a real treat for lovers of progressive metal playing! I give this Fates Warning album a strong 8 out of 10! I heartily recommend listening to it, because there are so many good musical things happening on it

  Fates Warning to zespół, który moim zdaniem fanom metalu z gatunku Progresywnego / Power Heavy metalu nie trzeba przedstawiać! Według mnie są oni wraz z Symhpony X absolutnymi mistrzami tego gatunku. Chociaż prywatnie ich czwarta płyta (czyli ta do której wracam dzisiaj wspomnieniami) – ‘No Exit’ nie jest ich moim ulubionym dziełem. To jednak jest to płyta wybitna i według mnie każdy fan progresywnego metalu powinien ją znać, albo chociaż raz w życiu tą płytę przesłuchać. Zanim przejdę do głównej recenzji to pozwolę sobie tylko dopowiedzieć, że prywatnie moimi ulubionym krążkami od Fates Warning są ich dwie płyty, a są to: 'The Spectre Within' (1985) i 'Awaken The Guardian' Na tych albumach na wokalu udzielał się John Arch, a prywatnie również jest to mój ulubiony wokalista tej formacji! Jeśli kochasz takie głosy metalowe jakie ma Rob Halford albo Bruce Dickinson lub Geoff Tate z zespołu Queensrÿche to myślę, że pokochasz głos Archa! Od płyty 'No Exit' właśnie pojawił się już inny wokalista i Archa zastąpił Ray Alder – który też jest według mnie świetnym wokalistą i ma mega potencjał w swoim głosie (Swoją drogą ma wokal też podobny do Halforda, Dickinsona i Geoffa Tate – w takim stylu) To jednak po prostu czegoś brakuje mi ciut w tym jego głosie. U Archa w głosie moje uszy słyszą tylko perfekcyjność Zaczynamy recenzję! 

   Hmmm no co tu w sumie dużo pisać o tym albumie. Jak dla mnie jest to piękny przykład i piękny materiał fuzji i mixu takich gatunków metalu jak – Thrash metalu, progresywnego metalu, klasycznego heavy metalu i power metalu! Wszystkie te gatunki tu razem wymieszane z pięknym łamanym tempem tworzą naprawdę wyjątkową i nietuzinkową mieszankę muzyki metalowej! Jest to w sumie płyta, którą mogę określić jako metalowy album Pink Floydów – 'The Wall' (1979) albo coś jakby Rush i ich album '2112' (1976) Fani takiej muzyki i lubiący długie progresywne granie metalowe tym albumem na pewno nie będą zawiedzieni. Pozwolę sobie wymienić teraz moje ulubione kompozycję na 'No Exit'. Są to następujące kawałki – utwór numer cztery na płycie czyli 'In a Word'. Cały klimat tego kawałka, dość thrashowe riffy i piękny wstęp na gitarze klasycznej sprawia, że kupuję ten numer! Kolejna kompozycja, która jest numerem piątym na krążku to – 'Shades Of Heavenly Death' Wspaniały klimat utworu, znowu świetne riffy, mieszane łamane tempa na perkusji. No po prostu to wszystko co kocham! w muzyce progresywnej! No i czas na najlepszy i ostatni utwór z tej płyty, ale za to jaki utwór. W sumie to nie jest nawet utwór, a prawdziwy opus magnum muzyczny na zakończenie tego wspaniałego albumu! Prawdziwy gigant czyli 'The Ivory Gate of Dreams' kompozycja, która trwa aż 21 minut i 25 sekund! To dzieło składa się aż z 8 części i dlatego właśnie też porównałem ten album do metalowej wersji albumu Pink Floyd – 'The Wall' i Rush '2112'. Kompozycyjnie właśnie ten utwór jest podobnie ułożony jak kompozycja '2112' od zespołu Rush! Przez te prawie pół godziny w tym numerze mamy po prostu wszystko! Wspaniałe melodię, riffy które wchodzą od razu w głowę, wspaniały popis umiejętności wokalnych. No po prostu wszystko co każdy koneser muzyki progresywno - metalowej uwielbia! Dzięki w sumie tej kompozycji ten album jest właśnie taką perełką! Prywatnie moją ulubioną częścią tego utworu jest część numer sześć czyli 'Whispers On The Wind' w tym fragmencie mamy wspaniałą pracę gitary klasycznej no i Ray Alder daję tu popis swoimi umiejętnościami zaśpiewania bardzo klimatycznych partii w głosie.   

   Podsumowując to według mnie album ‘No Exit’ od Fates Warning jest symbolem tego, że lata 80 i 90 dla muzyki metalowej (w tym przypadku dla muzyki progresywno metalowej dokładnie) były złotymi latami! Takie albumy jak ten lub pierwsze płyty od zespołu Symphony X są naprawdę prawdziwą ucztą dla miłośników progresywnego grania metalu! Daję temu albumowi Fates Warning mocne 8 na 10! Serdecznie polecam go przesłuchać, bo naprawdę dużo dobrych muzycznych rzeczy na nim się dzieje!

HELLFIRE - 'Lobotomized by Holy Crucifix'

A strong alliance of brutal black and death metal is s deeply appreciated mix of genres. The technical riffs go hand in hand with dark and fast drum blasts - Hellfire provided us that, as well as a very detailed and creative extreme metal craftsmanship.

'Lobotomized by Holy Crucifix' is a very ambitious release, which proves, that if you're dedicated enough to the cause of creating a killer material, even the first album will turn out flawless. 

Typical for Slavic-ancestry bands ancient sound, completed by demonic-like mood, can surely tell you that the band really has this cold and brutal musicianship in their veins and heritage.

Dark and gloomy cover art heralds what can we expect from the music - that is a wild and vast amount of brutal riffs, fast and furious drum performance, completed by very dark, angry vocals, which definitely stand out on that release. With the instruments working as a strong, dark background, the vocals are the main character here - they dictate the rules on how to flawlessly represent both genres. In addition to that, the vocals work as a strong mood influential. They introduced a feeling made of pure anger, which is backed up by the black metal loneliness and coldness. This chill mood completed the music and clayed

the album together, creating a dark and misanthropic whole, which will satisfy the connoisseurs of both genres. 

Hellfire really pulled off a huge achievement - they made a killer Black Death Metal release, which provides a huge amount of dark and brutal material, rich emotional experience, only to be topped up by an honorable representation of those two highly appreciated genres.

The amount of talent and creativity which the band put into the album proves that dedication to the cause creates the best material.

Silny sojusz brutalnego black i death metalu to wysoko ceniona mieszanka gatunków. Techniczne riffy idą w parze z mrocznymi i szybkimi dźwiękami perkusji - Hellfire zapewnił nam to, a także bardzo szczegółowe i kreatywne, ekstremalne metalowe wykonanie.

„Lobotomized by Holy Crucifix” to bardzo ambitne wydawnictwo, które udowadnia, że ​​jeśli jesteś wystarczająco oddany sprawie stworzenia zabójczego materiału, nawet pierwszy album okaże się bezbłędny.

Ten mroźny nastrój dopełnił muzykę i skleił utwory w jedność, tworząc mroczną i mizantropijną całość, która zadowoli koneserów obu gatunków.

Hellfire naprawdę odniosło ogromne sukces - wydali zabójczy album Black Death Metalowy, który zapewnia ogromną ilość mrocznego i brutalnego materiału, bogate emocjonalne przeżycia, które uzupełnia honorowa reprezentacja tych dwóch wysoko cenionych gatunków.

Ogrom talentu i kreatywności, które zespół włożył do albumu, świadczy o tym, że całkowite oddanie tworzeniu muzyki potrafi zaowocować w postaci mocnego materiału.

Posłuchajcie Hellfire, wesprzyjcie ich mroczną sztukę przez Bandcamp oraz dzielcie się ich muzyką!

 FUNERAL MASS  – 'At the Crossroad of Dark Paths' LP

 Funeral Mass is a music band from Poland in the genre of Black Metal. In my opinion, after listening to their material, I think you may be tempted that it is not a typical classic black metal, but 'black metal' with many influences of such genres as Thrash Metal or Melodic Black Metal. The guys from this band come from Gdańsk and in my opinion, they have a lot of potential on the Polish metal scene. Let's start!

  When I listened to their album called 'At the Crossroad of Dark Paths', I came to the conclusion that I was missing something here. Technically it's a great album (great production, mix, and mastering) but that's what I mean, it's sounds too good for black metal. Of course, this is only my private opinion and my tastes, but I am simply a fan of black metal and such playing, where the recording quality of guitars, other instruments, vocals, etc. is even quite weaker, but that there is a deeper and more magical atmosphere. However, if the listener has a different taste than me and likes good modern black metal in which he will hear a perfect mix, as well as mastering and sound in each track very clear and clean, then, of course, the music of the guys from Funeral Mass is the most for him! The fact that we have every track here at a very high level when it comes to diversity is a plus for sure (especially the riffs are delicious and very interesting). the composition here has great riffs, interesting parts, and other interesting climatic moments. Guitar riffs on this material are often associated with Thrash playing, and all in all, the vocalist's voice reminds me a bit of the recently deceased Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom). a little overgrowth of form over content. It's also worth adding that the drummer's work on this album is also brilliant and very well done for me.

  To sum up, I think that 'At the Crossroad of Dark Paths' is a  really great album for black metal listeners who like elements of fantasy, occultism, etc. This material contained on this album has such a mysterious, magical atmosphere. In some places, the elements that we have on this material and the guitar melody remind me of the early work of the Dissection band. Of course, I love this Swedish legendary band, so it's a compliment from me to the music of the guys from Funeral Mass. I am very happy that Polish metal and black metal are developing so well!

   Funeral Mass to zespół muzyczny z Polski z gatunku Black metalu. Moim zdaniem po odsłuchaniu ich materiału sądzę, że można się pokusić, że w sumie nie jest to typowy klasyczny black metal, tylko ‘czarny metal’ z wieloma wpływami takich gatunków jak: Thrash Metal, czy Melodic Black metal. Chłopaki z tej formacji pochodzą z Gdańska i według mnie mają naprawdę spory potencjał na polskiej scenie metalowej. Zaczynamy! 

   Kiedy już przesłuchałem ich płytę o nazwie 'At the Crossroad of Dark Paths' to doszedłem do  wniosku, że czegoś mi tu brakuję. Technicznie jest to świetny album (świetna produkcja, mix oraz mastering) ale no właśnie o to mi chodzi, że jest aż za dobre brzmienie jak na black metal. Oczywiście to tylko moje prywatne zdanie i moje gusta, ale ja po prostu jestem fanem black metalu i takiego grania, gdzie nawet dość słabsza jest jakość nagrania dźwięku gitar, instrumentów pozostałych, wokali itp. ale, że jest właśnie jakiś głębszy i bardziej magiczny klimat. Natomiast, jeśli właśnie słuchacz ma inny gust ode mnie i lubi dobry nowoczesny black metal w którym usłyszy perfekcyjny mix, oraz mastering i brzmienie w każdym kawałku bardzo wyraźne i czyste to oczywiście muzyka chłopaków z Funeral Mass jest jak najbardziej dla niego! Na plus na pewno na tym krążku zasługuję też to, że mamy tu każdy numer na bardzo wysokim poziomie jeśli chodzi o różnorodność (zwłaszcza riffy są wyśmienite i bardzo ciekawie zbudowane) Nie potrafię w sumie nawet wybrać jakiś swój ulubiony numer z tej płyty, ponieważ każda kompozycja tutaj ma w sobie świetne riffy, ciekawie partię, i inne intrygujące klimatyczne momenty. Riffy gitarowe właśnie na tym materiale kojarzą mi się z thrashowym graniem. Często w sumie też głos wokalisty trochę mi się kojarzy z niestety już niedawno zmarłym Alexim Laiho (Children Of Bodom) Niektóre kawałki też na tej płycie trochę bym skrócił, bo miejscami jak dla mnie jest trochę przerost formy nad treścią. Warto także dodać, że praca perkusisty na tym albumie jest również znakomita i jak dla mnie jest bardzo dobrze wykonana. 

   Podsumowując, to uważam, że 'At the Crossroad of Dark Paths' jest naprawdę świetnym albumem dla słuchaczy black metalu, którzy lubią elementy fantasy, okultyzmu itp. Ten materiał zawarty na tym krążku ma właśnie w sobie jakiś taki tajemniczy, magiczny klimat. Miejscami w sumie elementy jakie mamy na tym materiale, oraz melodię gitarowe kojarzą mi się ze wczesną twórczością zespołu Dissection. Oczywiście uwielbiam ten szwedzki legendarny już zespół, więc jest to jak najbardziej komplement ode mnie w stronę muzyki chłopaków z Funeral Mass. Bardzo się cieszę, że polski metal i black metal tak świetnie się rozwija!

 DEAD CROWN – 'Tales From The Frozen Lands Part I' EP

   The music project called Dead Crown from France is in my opinion music from the genre of Ritual Ambient / Symphonic Black metal. For me, it is extraordinary and very original music. All material and songs on this EP are the responsibility of Pedro Martinez from Spain, operating under the artistic pseudonym 'Fausto'. Enjoy my review! 

  The entire EP lasts a total of 26 minutes and includes 4 songs. Each track, however, has a slightly different musical atmosphere and is different from each other. At the beginning of this album, we have a track called 'Before The Rain', in this composition we can immediately sense the atmosphere of Celtic music (mainly through the sounds of Scottish bagpipes) this composition is actually such an intro, an introduction to the entire content of the EP. The atmosphere of this intro also reminds me a bit of majestic and epic music from a Norwegian band called Wardruna. Listening to 'Before The Rain', images like, for example, the Vikings who sail on their boats, the Drakkar, show up in my head. The second number on this EP is 'Far Beyond The Oceans' here, in turn, in the sound of guitars and guitar riffs, we have a more atmosphere, I would even say such doom metal. Overall, this track is pretty cool, but I think it's a bit too long. A piece very much associated with a sea journey on a ship. The last two tracks on this album, 'Tundra' and 'Aurora Eterna', are my two favorite pieces! In the first of them, we have a really nice atmospheric fast guitar riff and the whole composition reminds me of the music from Middle-earth from the movie 'Lord of the Rings', while 'Aurora Eterna' is a perfect composition at the end of this EP, it is actually a composition with a genre of symphonic black metal that reminds me a bit of the music of bands like Lustre or Summoning. 

   To sum it up, I think that this EP from Dead Crown is not for every metal music fan, and not every heavy sound fan will understand it. I understand it and consider it really good material. This is definitely music for fans of bands such as the above-mentioned musical formation - Summoning and Lustre add a slight tinge to cinema music such as the works of Hans Zimmer.

   Projekt muzyczny o nazwie Dead Crown z Francji jest muzyką według mnie z gatunku Ritual Ambient / Symphonic Black metalu.  Jest to jak dla mnie muzyka nietuzinkowa i bardzo oryginalna. Za cały materiał i utwory na tej EP-ce odpowiedzialny jest pochodzący z Hiszpanii Pedro Martinez działający pod pseudonimem artystycznym ‘Fausto’ Zapraszam do mojej recenzji! 

   Cała EP-ka trwa w sumie 26 minut i znajdują się na niej 4 utwory. Każdy utwór jest jednak w ciut innym klimacie muzycznym i czymś się od siebie różni. Na starcie tej płyty mamy utwór o nazwie 'Before The Rain' w tej kompozycji od razu wyczujemy klimaty muzyki celtyckiej (głównie po przez dźwięki szkockich dud) ta kompozycja to w sumie takie intro, wprowadzenie do całej zawartości EP-ki. Klimat tego intra przypomina mi trochę też majestatyczną i epicką muzykę od norweskiego zespołu muzycznego o nazwie Wardruna. Słuchając 'Before The Rain' w mojej głowie pokazują mi się takie obrazy jak na przykład – Wikingowie, którzy płyną na swoich łodziach, czyli Drakkarach. Drugi numer  na tej EP-ce to 'Far Beyond The Oceans' tutaj z kolei w brzmieniu gitar i gitarowych riffów mamy bardziej klimaty wręcz powiedziałbym takiego doom metalu. Dość fajny jest ogólnie ten kawałek, ale według mnie jest on ciut za długi. Utwór bardzo kojarzący się z morską podróżą na statku.  Ostatnie dwa kawałki na tej płycie, czyli 'Tundra' oraz 'Aurora Eterna' to w sumie moje dwa ulubione dzieła! W pierwszym z nich mamy naprawdę według mnie bardzo fajny klimatyczny szybki riff gitarowy i całość kompozycji przypomina mi bardzo muzykę ze Śródziemia z  filmu 'Władca Pierścieni' z kolei 'Aurora Eterna' jest doskonałą kompozycją na zakończenie tej EP-ki to w sumie taka kompozycja z gatunku symfonicznego black metalu, która przypomina mi trochę muzykę takich zespołów jak Lustre, albo Summoning. 

  Podsumowując to myślę, że ta EP-ka od Dead Crown nie jest dla każdego fana muzyki metalowej i nie każdy fan ciężkich brzmień ją zrozumie. Ja ją zrozumiem i uważam ją za naprawdę dobry materiał. Jest to na pewno muzyka dla fanów takich zespołów jak powyższe wymienione przeze mnie formację muzyczne czyli – Summonig  i Lustre dodać lekkie zabarwienie muzyki kinowej takiej jak np. twórczość Hansa Zimmera.

NOCTURNAL BREED - 'The Whiskey Tapes Poland'

Oh how madly we all enjoy black metal mixed with thrash... Unfortunately, not many bands can pull that off, besides the masters in that craft - Nocturnal Breed.

This newest compilation makes heads turn in awe of how perfectly the tracks represent the collaboration in between the genres.

Everything fits great together as a strong and wild entity, these are perfect characteristics to describe the soul of Nocturnal Breed. The 80's mood of this release will surely drill a hole in you, making you feel as if these times were back...

The typical for Nocturnal Breed catchy and aggressive guitar style is a main character throughout the whole release. A feeling of pure anger was flowing from the performance, it also made the compilation stand out as the angriest and brutal one in Nocturnal Breed's discography. The red energy flowing from the music allowed me to release my entire anger and frustration without damaging any people's faces, plus it provided a rich listening experience - that's what characterizes a dedicated band, which makes sure the music will provide a great time as well as act as an outlet for the listener's emotions.

The killer riffs were completed by a spotless collaboration of drums and bass guitar. This brilliant alliance provided a splendid tempo leader, which dictated the rules and made you feel the speed and anger on your skin.

The vocal performance topped everything up - they were a great example of a flawless combination between black and thrash metal, making the compilation a deeply wanted release for the supporters of both genres. The vocals' high quality and wide mood variety proved that the band is in great shape and that they'll never go out of style since they provide an old-school feeling in a modern extreme metal sound.

Compilations aren't a very likable type of release but this one really stands out and proves that Nocturnal Breed can pull almost impossible off.

With such a strong collection of tracks, this compilation couldn't fail us, and it surely didn't.

'The Whiskey Tapes Poland' delivered a rich listening experience, which was overflowed with strong emotions, tasteful guitar riffs, and musical open-mindedness. 

I deeply recommend you this compilation, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

Och, jak szalenie wszyscy lubimy black metal połączony z thrashem ... Niestety, niewiele zespołów potrafi porządnie reprezentować ten gatunek, poza mistrzami w tym rzemiośle - Nocturnal Breed.

Ta najnowsza kompilacja sprawia, że ​​wasze głowy nie pojmą podziwu, jak doskonale utwory reprezentują współpracę między gatunkami.

Wszystko świetnie do siebie pasuje jako silne i dzikie połączenie - to idealne cechy opisujące duszę Nocturnal Breed. Feeling wprost z lat 80-tych w wydaniu z pewnością wywierci w was dziurę, zasije tęsknotę do tamtych czasów, sprawiając, że poczujecie się, jakby one powróciły...

Mroczna czerwona energia płynąca z muzyki pozwoliła mi uwolnić całą złość i frustrację (nie raniąc niczyich twarzy!!) a do tego dostarczyła bogatych wrażeń słuchowych - są to cechy charakteryzujące oddany zespół, który sprawia, że ​​muzyka zapewni przyjemny materiał, a także działa jako ujście emocji słuchacza.

Zabójcze riffy zostały uzupełnione nieskazitelną współpracą perkusji i gitary basowej. Ten genialny sojusz zapewnił wspaniałego lidera tempa, który dyktował zasady i sprawił, że mogliście poczuć szybkość i bezkompromisową brutalność na własnej skórze.

Całości dopełniał mroczny i agresywny performance wokalny - był to doskonały przykład doskonałego połączenia black i thrash metalu, sprawiając, że składanka stała się bardzo pożądanym wydaniem dla zwolenników obu gatunków.  IDOLOS - 'Naa'

   I already know this music project well, because I also made the very first EP from Idolos called 'Ahi Cab' (which surprised me very positively for the album). Let me just remind you that Idolos is Atmospheric black metal from France. This year, Idolos returns with a new EP and in my opinion, the latest work from this music project is also unique and excellent. One can feel that the artist who is responsible for the Idolos position is making great progress and growing more and more in music and is grabbing new experiences associated with it. I invite you to my newest review of the EP from Idolos! 

   What moved me after listening to this EP from Idolos is that this time we have a bit more experimental music than in the previous EP 'Ahi Cab'. This time we have an interesting combination of electronic music with metal, ambient inserts, and even Black / Doom playing to the rhythm! It's hard, homey, and very interesting (precisely because of the excellent use of ambient inserts, which give the atmosphere and atmosphere of this EP) all in all, the sound of this album is a bit depressing, but I noticed that this music is great to listen to on such rainy days as we have for example today! The whole production of the EP deserves a plus on this album (its mix, mastering, and sound). In my opinion, the production is better here than on 'Ahi Cab'. In the second track, i.e. in the track called 'The Descent', we have a really great ending composition. In the end, there is a guitar melody that is really memorable! Interestingly, the percussion parts also sound good and are extremely complex. We have favorite blasts of course, but also frequent interesting pace changes. In my opinion, the Idolos on this EP very well balanced the harmony between black metal and ambient and atmospheric music. Nothing is too little or too much. All is just in the right place.

  Summing up this EP, I am really glad that Idolos presented itself once again with something new in black metal, so with a nice combination of electronics and metal. Besides, I'm waiting when Idolos finally releases his first full-length album, not an EP. Well, I remain to wait!

  Ten projekt muzyczny znam już bardzo dobrze, ponieważ wcześniej robiłem już recenzję pierwszej EP-ki od Idolos pod tytułem 'Ahi Cab' (która to płyta bardzo pozytywnie mnie zaskoczyła) Przypomnę tylko, że Idolos to Atmosferyczny black metal z Francji. W tym roku Idolos powraca z nową EP-ką i według mnie najnowsze dzieło od tego projektu muzycznego jest również wyjątkowe i znakomite. Można odczuć, że artysta, który jest odpowiedzialny za Idolos zrobił wielkie postępy i coraz bardziej rozwija się w muzyce i łapie nowe doświadczenia z nią związane. To mnie ogromnie cieszy. Zapraszam do mojej recenzji najnowszej EP-ki od Idolos! 

  Co mnie ruszyło po przesłuchaniu tej EP-ki od Idolos to to, że tym razem mamy nieco więcej muzyki eksperymentalnej niż w poprzedniej EP-ce 'Ahi Cab'. Tym razem mamy ciekawe połączenie muzyki elektronicznej z metalem, wstawek ambientowych, a w rytmie wręcz takie Black/Doomowe granie! Jest ciężko, domowo i bardzo ciekawie (właśnie przez doskonałe użycie wstawek ambientowych, które nadają klimatu i atmosfery tej EP-ki) W sumie brzmienie tej płyty jest trochę takie przygnębiające, ale tą muzykę zauważyłem, że świetnie się słucha w takie deszczowe dni jakie mamy na przykład dzisiaj! Na plus na tym albumie zasługuję właśnie cała produkcja EP-ki (jej miks oraz mastering i brzmienie) Według mnie to produkcja jest tutaj lepsza niż na 'Ahi Cab' W drugim utworze, czyli w kawałku pod tytułem 'The Descent'mamy naprawdę wspaniałe zakończenie kompozycji. Na końcu jest tutaj melodia gitar, która zapada bardzo w pamięć! Co ciekawe również partię perkusji brzmią dobrze i są wyjątkowo rozbudowane. Mamy oczywiście ulubione blasty, ale także częste ciekawe zmiany tempa. Idolos według mnie też na tej EP-ce bardzo dobrze wyrównał harmonię pomiędzy black metalem, a muzyką ambientową i atmosferyczną. Niczego nie jest ani za mało, ani za dużo. Jest po prostu w sam raz. 

  Podsumowując tą EP-kę to strasznie się cieszę, że Idolos zaprezentował się po raz kolejny z czymś nowym w black metalu, a więc z fajnym połączeniem elektroniki z metalem. Poza tym z niecierpliwością czekam, kiedy Idolos w końcu wyda swój pierwszy długogrający album, a nie EP-kę. Cóż pozostaję czekać!

BLASPHEMANIAC - 'The Call of The Black Goat'

Yet another review was done in collaboration with an outstanding, deeply dedicated to underground black metal, label - Death Defier Productions.

This particular release - 'The Call of The Black Goat', will certainly bring a strong feeling of raw, unfiltered, underground black metal.

BLASPHEMANIAC graced us with a devilish-sounding alliance of vocals and guitar riffs - their strong collaboration resulted in a wild and dark sound that emanated with a young band rehearsal feeling straight from the nineties.

On the other hand, the drums should be mixed better - they sounded very flat, distant, and soulless, they lacked a certain gloomy and sharp depth...

Nevertheless, the music as an entity was done very well - it highlighted the brutality and pure rawness of Brazilian underground black metal which is well known for being unstoppable in its brutality, and highly addictive for listeners. 

Like I already said, the mood was quite a raw one - it deeply reflected the 90's kind of feeling which completed the release flawlessly, allowing it to be a time machine, that'll take you back to the times when raw black metal was born.

This kind of mood will satisfy even the oldest extreme metal supporters, that miss the long-gone times when this genre was a place for the outsiders to unite, not for all people to use as an attention-seeker.

All in all, 'The Call of The Black Goat' is a release for the people that enjoy unfiltered rawness, red energy, and rehearsal-like feeling. 

The release was done in the '90s feel, what's more, it allowed you to transfer to those times when black metal was a straight not-commercial thing, it was only for people who understood and appreciated this dark craft...

Kolejna recenzja wykonana we współpracy z wybitną, głęboko oddaną undergroundowemu black metalowi wytwórni - Death Defier Productions.

To konkretne wydawnictwo - „The Call of The Black Goat” z pewnością dostarczy wam silne wrażenie surowego, niefiltrowanego, undergroundowego black metalu.

BLASPHEMANIAC zaszczycił nas diabelnie brzmiącym sojuszem wokali i gitarowych riffów - ich mocna współpraca zaowocowała dzikim i mrocznym brzmieniem, które emanowało uczuciem wprost z próby modego zespołu rodem z lat dziewięćdziesiątych.

Z drugiej strony, perkusja powinna być lepiej zmiksowana - brzmiała ona bardzo płasko, z dystansem i bez duszy, brakowało jej pewnej ostrej i mrocznej głębi ...

Niemniej jednak muzyka jako całość została wykonana bardzo dobrze - podkreśliła brutalność i czystą surowość brazylijskiego undergroundowego black metalu, który jest znany z tego, że jest nie do powstrzymania w swojej brutalności jak i jest bardzo uzależniającym odłamem black metalu.

Jak już powiedziałam, nastrój był dość surowy - głęboko oddawał klimat lat 90-tych, który bezbłędnie dopełnił wydawnictwo, pozwalając mu być wehikułem czasu, który przeniesie Cię z powrotem do czasów, kiedy narodził się surowy black metal.

Taki nastrój zadowoli nawet najstarszych zwolenników ekstremalnego metalu, którzy tęsknią za dawno minionymi czasami, kiedy ten gatunek był miejscem jednoczenia się outsiderów, a nie wszystkim, aby przyciągał uwagę.

    Podsumowując, „The Call of The Black Goat” to wydawnictwo dla ludzi, którzy lubią niefiltrowaną surowość, mroczną energię z piekłarodem i atmosferę wprost z black metalowych prób.

Co więcej, wydanie powstało w klimacie lat 90-tych, co więcej, pozwoliło przenieść się do tamtych czasów, kiedy black metal był prostą, niekomercyjną rzeczą, tylko dla ludzi, którzy rozumieli i cenili to mroczne rzemiosło...

 DESPISED CRUELTY – 'Łez padół' LP

   Today I will take care of a Polish band representing metal music from the Black metal genre. Today I am talking about the Despised Cruelty band from Bełchatów (Łódź now). The musicians of this musical formation play music and create their lyrics, usually about nature and misanthropy, and the sound character of their entire album is just like that! They succeeded amazingly! In these guitars, drums, and vocals you can hear a real aversion to the human species and even while listening to this album, I had a picture of a big bang or falling into a black hole, an abyss. I am fully aware that I have not listened to such a good Polish metal album for a long time. Feel free to check out my review!

   Apart from the fact that the whole release is really well mixed and sounds great (all instruments are perfectly audible, vocals are at the same volume level), it's just hard for me to choose the best or favorite number from this album. We have very interesting and original guitar riffs (with a slightly progressive playing) in every track. I also noticed that apart from black metal some riffs remind me of death metal playing. The entire album 'Łeż padół' has a total of eight compositions, and the entire material lasts a total of 40 minutes, but interestingly not to feel that the album is too short or too long - in my opinion, its length is just right. I must also praise the production of this album because it is great in one more important aspect. In almost every track on this album, we have what every fan of metal and not only metal very much likes, i.e. the effect of the 'wall of sound' in the atmosphere of this album and lyrics, I really fit here and emphasize the strong atmosphere and melancholy of this album. In the entire material from Despised Cruelty, we also have two compositions (very atmospheric) in Polish. These are the compositions: 'Pod Duszą' and 'Bagnet' (the text for this piece is taken from the poem entitled 'Bagnet na broń' by Władysław Broniewski) - this is also the track with the singer's amazing voice. You can feel the pain in his voice and the fact that this poem was very important to him during the creation of this piece. The emotion and the scream of his feelings tell me everything in this track!

  To sum up, Despised Cruelty is another band from our country, which in my opinion only confirms how strong the Black / Death metal scene is in Poland. (especially in 2020/2021. In Despised Cruelty, you can see a bit in the riffs and the sound of music by bands such as the Greek band - Rotting Christ. However, I would be careful and in my opinion, Despised Cruelty created the most own and original style of playing. black metal.

   Dzisiaj zajmę się polskim zespołem reprezentującym muzykę metalową z gatunku Black metalu. Mowa dzisiaj o pochodzącym z Bełchatowa (Łódź obecnie) zespole Despised Cruelty. Muzycy tej formacji muzycznej grają muzykę i tworzą swoje teksty zazwyczaj o naturze i mizantropii no i charakter brzmieniowy ich całego krążka taki właśnie jest! To im się niesamowicie udało! W tych gitarach, perkusji i wokalu słychać prawdziwą niechęć do gatunku ludzkiego i jeszcze podczas słuchania tej płyty w głowie miałem obraz wielkiego wybuchu lub wpadnięcia w czarną dziurę, otchłań. W pełni świadomy mogę powiedzieć, że prywatnie tak dobrego polskiego albumu metalowego dawno już nie słuchałem. Zapraszam do mojej recenzji! 

  Oprócz tego, że całe wydawnictwo jest naprawdę bardzo dobrze zmiksowane i super brzmi (idealnie słychać wszystkie instrumenty, wokale są na równym poziomie głośności) to po prostu ciężko mi wybrać najlepszy lub ulubiony numer z tej płyty. Mamy tutaj naprawdę w każdym kawałku bardzo ciekawe i oryginalne gitarowe riffy (z lekko progresywnym graniem) Też zauważyłem, że oprócz black metalu kilka riffów kojarzy mi się też z death metalowym graniem. Cały album ‘Łeż padół’ ma w sumie osiem kompozycji, a całość materiału trwa w sumie 40 minut, ale co ciekawe nie czuć żeby album był za krótki, albo za długi – według mnie jego długość jest w sam raz idealna. Muszę też pochwalić produkcję tego albumu, ponieważ jest świetna jeszcze pod jednym ważnym według mnie względem. W prawie każdym utworze na tej płycie mamy to co chyba każdy fan muzyki metalowej i nie tylko metalowej bardzo lubi, czyli efekt ‘ściany dźwięku’ w przypadku klimatu tego albumu jak i tekstów to naprawdę świetnie tu pasuję i podkreśla jeszcze mocny klimat i melancholię tego albumu. Na całym materiale od Despised Cruelty mamy także dwie kompozycję (bardzo klimatyczne) w języku polskim. Są to utwory: ‘Pod Duszą; oraz ‘Bagnet’ (tekst do tego utworu jest wzięty z wiersza pod tytułem ‘Bagnet na broń’ autorstwa Władysława Broniewskiego) – właśnie w tym kawałku też mamy niesamowity głos wokalisty. Poczuć można ból w jego głosie, oraz to, że ten wiersz był dla niego bardzo ważny podczas stworzenia tego kawałka. Emocję i krzyk jego uczuć mówi w tym kawałku według mnie wszystko! 

  Podsumowując, Despised Cruelty to kolejny zespół z naszego kraju, który według mnie tylko potwierdza jak bardzo silną scenę Black/Death metalową ma Polska. (zwłaszcza na przestrzeni roku 2020/2021.) W Despised Cruelty można dopatrywać się trochę w riffach i brzmieniu klimatów muzyki takich zespołów jak np. Greckie – Rotting Christ. To jednak byłbym ostrożny i według mnie Despised Cruelty wykreowało jak najbardziej własny i swój oryginalny styl grania black metalu.

 FJØSNISSE - 'Trolltind'

Another day, another review of a great black metal monstrosity - a band that leads in the underground Norwegian black metal scene - FJØSNISSE.

Their first full-length album stands out right away, with a rather more fantasy-like cover art we're allowed to get a good insight about what's going to happen on the record.

An avalanche of great and very catchy riffs completed by outstanding drum work and devilish vocals will come upon you, sweep you off your feet and provide a deep, rich emotional experience, which will leave you assured, that FJØSNISSE is the Norwegian band that should be way more appreciated because of Anders' outstanding talent as well as the very detailed black metal craftsmanship.

Diving in right away, we're being welcomed by an intro that lets you transfer into a village straight from medieval times. This instrumental opening track did a wonderful job in transferring me to a whole other dimension and getting me into the right mood.

As always, Fjøsnisse graced us with a huge amount of extremely catchy, black metal riffs, which also were a bit thrash metal influenced. These symphonic-sounding riffs go hand-in-hand with outstanding drum work. Once again, Anders showcased his splendid skills which gave a perfect example of a person who knows how to properly incorporate cymbals to make the performance more magical, various tempos, and flawlessly change them so the listener will have a top-level listening experience.

As for the vocals, I highly enjoyed their depth, scratchiness, and at some points almost mournfulness. They completed the album wonderfully and provided a rich emotional experience. 

The feelings on 'Trolltind' had a very consistent mood which was mostly made of that cold northern wind and snowy mountains. What's more, a deep feeling of being closely connected with nature was also present on that release. While listening to the material, I deeply felt and enjoyed that - the connection was almost touchable, so I can surely say that the album was influenced by the nature, its characteristics, and mysticism. 

I extremely enjoyed 'Trolltind'- this album, although it's the first full length in Fjøsnisse's history, really put its mark in the underground black metal history, starting something new and big - something that is known today as an underground Norwegian black metal revival. 

Anders provided us a rich experience in every aspect. What's more, the album was very detailed and had several hidden gems, which could only be uncovered after listening to the material a few times. 'Trolltind' was a more nature-oriented album than the newer ones, which makes it stand out in Fjøsnisse's discography.

Kolejny dzień i kolejna recenzja wielkiego black metalowego monstrum - zespołu, który jest liderem na undergroundowej norweskiej scenie black metalowej - FJØSNISSE.

Ich pierwszy pełnometrażowy album od razu się wyróżnia - okładka jest bardziej fantazyjna, dzięki czemu mamy dobry wgląd w to, co się wydarzy na płycie.

Lawina świetnych i bardzo chwytliwych riffów uzupełnionych wybitną perkusją i diabelskim wokalem spadnie na Ciebie, powali z nóg i dostarczy głębokich, bogatych emocjonalnych przeżyć, które dadzą Ci pewność, że Fjøsnisse to norweski zespół, który powinien być. o wiele bardziej doceniany ze względu na wybitny talent Andersa, a także bardzo szczegółowe black metalowy majstersztyk.

Zanurzając się od razu w materaił, wita nas intro, które pozwala przenieść się do wioski rodem z czasów średniowiecza. Ten instrumentalny otwierający utwór wykonał wspaniałą robotę, przenosząc mnie do zupełnie innego wymiaru i wprowadzając we właściwy nastrój.

Jak zawsze, Fjøsnisse zaszczycił nas ogromną ilością niezwykle chwytliwych, black metalowych riffów gitarowych, które również były nieco inspirowane thrash metalem. Te symfonicznie brzmiące riffy idą w parze z wybitną pracą perkusji. Anders po raz kolejny pokazał swoje wspaniałe umiejętności, co jest doskonałym przykładem osoby, która wie, jak odpowiednio wkomponować talerze, aby uczynić wykonanie bardziej magicznym, różnymi tempami i bezbłędnie je zmienić, aby słuchacz miał doznania odsłuchowe na najwyższym poziomie.

Jeśli chodzi o wokale, bardzo podobały mi się ich głębia, szorstkość, a w niektórych momentach niemal żałobność. Wspaniale wykończyły album i dostarczyły bogatych wrażeń emocjonalnych.

Uczucia na „Trolltind” miały bardzo spójny nastrój, który w większości składał się z zimnego północnego wiatru i ośnieżonych gór. Co więcej, na tym wydawnictwie obecne było również głębokie poczucie bliskości z naturą. Słuchając materiału głęboko to odczułam, co bardzo mnie ucieszyło- połączenie z naturą było niemal dotykalne, więc z całą pewnością mogę powiedzieć, że wpływ na album miała ona z pewnością poprzez swój mistycyzm.

Niezwykle podobał mi się „Trolltind” - ten materiał, chociaż jest to pierwszy pełny album w historii Fjøsnisse, naprawdę odcisnął swoje piętno na podziemnej historii norweskiego black metalu, rozpoczynając coś nowego i wielkiego - coś, co jest dziś znane jako undergroundowe odrodzenie black metalu w Norwegii.

Anders dostarczył nam bogatego doświadczenia w każdym aspekcie. Co więcej, album był bardzo szczegółowy i miał kilka ukrytych perełek, które można było odkryć dopiero po kilkukrotnym przesłuchaniu materiału. „Trolltind” jest albumem bardziej zorientowanym na naturę niż nowsze nagrania, co wyróżnia go w dyskografii Fjøsnisse.

 BESKŸD – 'Metanoia' EP

   Beskÿd is a one-man raw extreme black metal project, which is from the Czech Republic (from the city of Havířov to be exact) and really this EP is a piece of decent raw, cold, and black metal playing with excellent riffs! Already after my first hearing, I highly recommend it. In total, Czech black metal and not only black but also Czech Heavy metal and generally the music bands from this country are in my opinion always at a very high level of music.   What strikes my ears :D after the first listening to this brilliant material, the sound of the guitars and all the musical content on this disc reminds me very much of the combination of the beginnings of music of such bands as Darkthrone, Burzum, and Mayhem (mixing these 3 bands together) a little bit of Viking Black metal sound (especially the clean vocal inputs remind me a bit of vocal-like from the Austrian band Rivendell - representing Epic Black Metal with light folk influences) Every track on this album sounds really great, has a great structure of riffs, drums, and everything. I really have nothing to complain about here. The growing vocal sounds great too, it's epic and brilliant! Overall, from the whole EP, I like track number two called 'Přilnout k Pravdě' towards the end, somewhere in the middle of this track there is a really brilliant and mega old-school guitar riff (so far probably one of the best I've listened to in 2021) In addition, all Metanoi material is also great because of the magical cover and the overall musical atmosphere. Music, words, and texts remind me very much of the Middle Ages. In general, all the music and lyrics here were probably based on the USSR movie - 'Andrei Rublev' 1966. (The film tells about the life of the Russian monk and icon writer Andrei Rublev. An Orthodox saint travels through medieval Ruthenia, where he witnesses many atrocities and crimes.

  To sum up, the Metanoia of the brilliant Czech musician is really great material. I recommend listening to it now and enjoying your ears with beautiful old school extreme raw black metal! Still here on this album, in the last, fifth track called -'Komu Sloužiš? 'The wall of sound effect is so brilliantly made that it really bows down. Probably one of the best sound walls I've ever heard. For me, even Fenriz would not be ashamed of such a sound and this album!

   Beskÿd  to jednoosobowy projekt raw extreme black metalowy, który jest z Czech (dokładnie z miasta Havířov) i naprawdę ta EP-ka to kawał porządnego surowego, zimnego i black metalowego grania ze znakomitymi riffami! Już po moim pierwszym przesłuchaniu strasznie ją polecam. W sumie czeski black metal i nie tylko black, ale też czeski Heavy metal i ogólnie zespoły muzycznego z tego kraju są według mnie zawsze na bardzo wysokim poziomie muzycznym. Zapraszam do mojej recenzji! 

   Co się rzuca w uszy :D już po pierwszym przesłuchaniu tego genialnego materiału, to że brzmienie gitar i całej zawartości muzycznej na tym krążku przypomina mi bardzo połączenie początków muzyki takich zespołów jak Darkthrone, Burzum i Mayhem (takie wymieszanie w jedno tych 3 zespołów) z lekkim trochę brzmieniem Viking Black metalu (zwłaszcza wejścia czystego wokalu kojarzą mi się trochę z wokalami jak z Austriackiego zespołu Rivendell – reprezentujący Epicki Black Metal z lekkimi folkowymi wpływami) Każdy kawałek na tej płycie naprawdę świetnie brzmi, ma świetną budowę riffów, perkusji i wszystkiego. Naprawdę nie mam do czego się tutaj przyczepić. Growlujący wokal też brzmi świetnie, jest epicki i genialny! Ogólnie z całej tej EP-ki najbardziej podoba mi się utwór numer dwa o nazwie ‘Přilnout k Pravdě’ pod koniec, gdzieś w środku tego utworu jest naprawdę genialny i mega old-schoolowy gitarowy riff (Jak na razie chyba jeden z najlepszych jaki słuchałem w 2021 roku) Do tego cały materiał Metanoi jest też świetny ze względu na magiczną okładkę i ogólnie cały klimat muzyczny. Muzyka, słowa i teksty kojarzą mi się bardzo ze średniowieczem. Ogólnie całość tu muzyki i tekstów było chyba na podstawie filmu z ZSRR– ‘Andriej Rublow’ 1966r. (Film opowiada o życiu rosyjskiego mnicha i pisarza ikon, Andrieja Rublowa. Prawosławny święty przemierza średniowieczną Ruś, gdzie jest świadkiem wielu okrucieństw oraz zbrodni.) 

   Podsumowując, Metanoia genialnego muzyka z Czech to naprawdę znakomity materiał. Polecam go już teraz posłuchać i cieszyć swoje uszy pięknym old schoolowym ektremalnym graniem surowego black metalu! Jeszcze tutaj na tej płycie w ostatnim piątym utworze o nazwie –‘Komu Sloužiš?’ jest tak genialnie zrobiony efekt ściany dźwięku, że naprawdę chyle czoła. Chyba jedna z najlepszych ścian dźwięku jaką w życiu słyszałem. Naprawdę takiego grania i tej płyty nie powstydziłby się jak dla mnie nawet Fenriz!
