Welcome to the next series ''Back To The Past '' Today Heavy, Power and Speed metal hit, namely Running Wild and their album ''Under Jolly Roger'' (1987) Enjoy!
The album starts with a track with the same name as the album. We are greeted at the start by a short intro, in which you can feel the taste of a sea adventure, and imagine pirates ready to attack foreign ships and search for treasures. A song that is one of the anthems of this great band and their flagship piece. Beautiful heavy metal riffs and melodies, and a catchy chorus that will remember - Under Jolly Roger! We go on, the next track is - "War in the Gutter" it is a beautiful track, where you can already feel the influence of power and speed metal mixed with heavy metal, excellent riffs and speed of this number. The next Raw Ride from this album is for me the absolute number one from this music release. This track has all: aggressive, sharpness, great riffs, and a heavy metal claw. The melodic ending of this track is also great here, where the guitars remind me of a bit of harmony like from the Iron Maiden band. The next song starts with a fantastic melodic guitar, this is how we are greeted by the song "Beggar's Night", we also have another beautiful classic heavy metal riff, and a great solo in the middle of this composition.
The track 'Raise Your fist' is probably my favorite guitar riff on this album. Time for "Land Of Ice" - it starts with a very atmospheric and slow guitar melody and then turns into a medium-rhythm but great atmospheric riff. The track "Diamonds of The Black Chest" is another portion of great riffs and a catchy chorus. The last piece of "Merciless Game" - here we have a return to the climate of speed metal, a very fast riff from the beginning of the composition, also great in this track in the middle of the track. The bridge has a lot of beautiful guitar solos and melodic guitars.
Summing up the Running Wild album - ''Under Jolly Roger'', are not maybe the best album for me by this legendary heavy metal band, but it is definitely in my top 6 albums by this musical formation. It is an absolute must-hear for fans of a mixture of three genres - Heavy, Power, and Speed Metal.

Album zaczyna się od kawałka o takiej samej nazwie jak krążek. Wita nas na start krótkie intro, w którym można poczuć smak morskiej przygody, oraz wyobrazić sobie piratów gotowych do napadów na obce statki i poszukiwanie skarbów. Utwór, który jest jednym z hymnów tego wspaniałego zespołu i ich sztandarowym kawałkiem. Piękne heavy metalowe riffy i melodie, oraz chwytliwy refren, który zapada w pamięć - Under Jolly Roger! Jedziemy dalej, kolejny numer ''War in the Gutter'' to piękny utwór, w którym można już odczuć wpływy power i speed metalu wymieszanego z heavy metalem, doskonałe riffy i szybkość tego numeru. Kolejny ''Raw ride'' z tej płyty to dla mnie absolutny numer jeden z tego muzycznego wydawnictwa. Ten utwór ma wszystko: agresywność, ostrość, świetne riffy i heavy metalowy pazur. Wspaniałe jest tutaj także melodyczne zakończenie tego utworu, gdzie gitarki przypominają mi trochę harmonie jak od zespołu Iron Maiden. Kolejne dzieło rozpoczyna się fantastyczną melodyczną gitarką, tak nas wita utwór ''Beggar's Night'' mamy tutaj również kolejny piękny klasyczny heavy metalowy riff, oraz świetną solówkę w środku tej kompozycji.
Kawałek ''Raise Your fist'', to chyba mój ulubiony gitarowy riff na tym albumie. Czas na ''Land Of Ice"' - zaczyna się bardzo klimatycznie i powolną melodią gitarową, a później przechodzi w średnio umiarkowany ale naprawdę znakomity klimatyczny riff. Numer ''Diamonds of The Black Chest'' to kolejna porcja świetnych riffów i chwytliwego refrenu. Ostatni kawałek ''Merciless Game'' - tutaj natomiast mamy powrót do klimatu speed metalu, bardzo szybki riff od początku kompozycji, również wspaniały w tym utworze jest środek utworu. Bridge ma w sobie bardzo dużo pięknych gitarowych solówek i melodycznych gitar.
Podsumowując płyta Running Wild - Under Jolly Roger, to może nie najlepsza płyta jak dla mnie tego legendarnego już heavy metalowego zespołu, ale jest na pewno w moim top 6 płyt od tej formacji muzycznej. Jest to na pewno absolutny ''Must hear'' dla fanów mieszanki muzycznej trzech gatunków - Heavy, Power i Speed Metalu.
