Mostro is an instrumental/experimental death metal project founded by Lucas Wyssbrod from Buenos Aires. Today, I'll be reviewing the self-titled EP, which came out on January 2, 2020. I stumbled upon the one-man band on Instagram, and with some additional info from Lucas, I put this review together.
Lucas told me that the idea behind the project has always been to make instrumental and short tunes but carefully arranged. MΩSTRO will release a new EP in the upcoming months and it'll be more twisted, it'll show a little bit more influence from bands such as Behold The Arctopus, Gorguts, and such. Lucas also pointed out that the music ended up being a blend of avant-garde death metal (Gorguts, DsO, Coma Cluster Void) and more modern stuff (Meshuggah, Nightmarer, Foreigns).
It's time for review now:
MΩSTRO EP consists of 4 songs with a duration of nearly nine minutes - for sure, that's not an extremely long EP, but the material on it is top-level. Each track gives you the new type of death metal, more creative, fresh, and less conservative. I'm not a 'professional' death metal fan but, I know what I like, and this EP is worth a listen, especially if you're supportive of not so conservative projects like MΩSTRO. The EP is such a great mood influencer since it's all instrumental...You can simply dive into the world of metal and get lost within it. It provides you a huge chunk of creative black metal which contains strong guitar and bass riffs and great drum parts. As I said, the EP is entirely instrumental, so it can also be a good time off from regular bands. I liked the feeling the EP gave me, I kinda felt like I was creating the material with the band - it is as if Lucas Wyssbrod didn't want to take any singer in, to leave a little bit of creative space for listeners. I think that if Lucas included two or three more tracks it wouldn't be a bad idea after all... I feel like I didn't have enough tracks, I want way more good material. Thankfully, MΩSTRO will release another EP in upcoming months so I won't suffer long.
Summing up, if you like fresh projects like then you won't be disappointed but if you are a little bit more conservative death metaller, then, well... You might still like it who knows. I extremely appreciate projects like MΩSTRO since I enjoy trying out new things. Give the band a listen, you won't regret it.

Natknęłem się na ten jednoosobowy zespół na Instagramie i wraz z dodatkowymi informacjami od Lucasa, skleiłam tą recenzję.
Lucas powiedział mi, że ideą projektu zawsze było tworzenie instrumentalnych i krótkich melodii, ale starannie zaaranżowanych. MΩSTRO wyda nową EPkę w nadchodzących miesiącach i będzie bardziej pokręcona, pokaże nieco większy wpływ zespołów takich jak Behold The Arctopus, Gorguts i tym podobne. Lucas zwrócił również uwagę, że muzyka stała się mieszanką awangardowego death metalu (Gorguts, DsO, Coma Cluster Void) i bardziej nowoczesnych rzeczy (Meshuggah, Nightmarer, Foreigns).
Czas na recenzję:
EP MΩSTRO składa się z 4 utworów trwających prawie dziewięć minut - na pewno nie jest to wyjątkowo długa EP, ale materiał na niej jest na najwyższym poziomie. Każdy utwór zawiera nowy rodzaj death metalu, bardziej kreatywny, świeży i mniej konserwatywny. Nie jestem „profesjonalną” fanką death metalu, ale wiem co lubię, a ta EPka jest warta wysłuchania, szczególnie jeśli wspierasz nie tak konserwatywne projekty, jak MΩSTRO. EP świetnie wpływa na nastrój, ponieważ jest instrumentalna ... Możesz po prostu zanurzyć się w świecie metalu i zgubić się w nim. Zapewnia ogromną porcję kreatywnego black metalu, który zawiera mocne gitarowe i basowe riffy oraz świetne partie perkusji. Jak powiedziałam, EP ma charakter całkowicie instrumentalny, więc może być też dobrym czasem na odpoczynek od regularnych zespołów. Podobało mi się to, co dała mi ta EPka, czułam się, jakbym tworzyła materiał razem z zespołem - to tak, jakby Lucas Wyssbrod nie chciał przyjmować żadnego piosenkarza, żeby zostawić trochę kreatywnej przestrzeni dla słuchaczy. Myślę, że gdyby Lucas dołączył jeszcze dwa lub trzy utwory, nie byłby to zły pomysł ... Czuję, że nie otzrymałam wystarczająco dużo utworów, chcę o wiele więcej dobrego materiału. Na szczęście MΩSTRO wyda kolejną EPkę w nadchodzących miesiącach, więc nie będę długo cierpieć.
Podsumowując, jeśli lubisz świeże projekty takie jak ten, nie będziesz rozczarowany, ale jeśli jesteś trochę bardziej konserwatywnym death metallerem, to ... no cóż ... Może ci się spodoba ten, kto wie. Bardzo doceniam projekty takie jak MΩSTRO, ponieważ lubię wypróbowywać nowe rzeczy. Posłuchaj tego zespołu, a nie pożałujesz.
