RAVAGED BY GHOULS - 'Ominous' LP

'Ominous' was released on 6th July so not that long ago. The band behind the album is Ravaged by Ghouls hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, delivering blackened death funeral grind metal.
In the beginning, I need to stress out that nearly none of the grind metal bands satisfy me, but Ravaged by Ghouls...man... they really did their homework.
While listening to the album I never felt overflowed with the grind, it was very sublime and tasteful. From the very beginning, you get a 100% well-produced tracks, only with automatic drums standing out, which should be hidden better. Guitars, bass, and vocals are varied - you certainly can hear grind, death, and also a little bit of black metal sound - which I really enjoyed. The extremely poisonous, brutal, and overflowed with anger guitar riffs are an exceedingly ear-catching work.
I think that Ravaged by Ghouls is the one band amongst a very few other ones that we're able to pack various metal styles into one album and actually make it sound good.
'Ominous' has a lot of good sides with only one mistake which I barely noticed. The automatic drums are a little bit too hearable, maybe they could hide them better in the mixing and mastering process. This only negative aspect doesn't really affect listening of the album, understanding it's the message and so on... it may only annoy a little bit some people.
Speaking of the album's message and felt it gave me - well, I can't really see the deep meaning kind of message or anything like that - for me the album was kind of inspired by horror movies - at least that's what I can hear in it. I think, that 'Ominous' tells us different stories of ghosts, demons, massacres, etc. I really enjoyed the angry and dark atmosphere which emanates from this release.
Ravaged by Ghouls' hard work and extraordinary talent shown on this album states the band's top-level position in the underground community. I hope that the band will give us more material soon, continuing their path and style, which are clearly shown on that album.
In my opinion, Ravaged by Ghouls has a huge potential that they have to pack into the band in order to climb the stairs of the underground metal scene. If you like the band, show them some support on social media, Bandcamp, and so on.

„Ominous” ukazał się 6 lipca, a więc nie tak dawno temu. Zespół stojący za albumem to Ravaged by Ghouls pochodzący z Pittsburgha w Pensylwanii, grający blackened death funeral grind metal.
Na początku muszę podkreślić, że prawie żaden z grind metalowych zespołów mnie nie zadowala, ale Ravaged by Ghouls… oni naprawdę zrobili dobrą robotę.
Słuchając tego albumu nigdy nie czułam się przepełniona grindem, był bardzo wysublimowany i wysmakowany. Od samego początku dostajesz w 100% dobrze wyprodukowane ścieżki, tylko z delikatnie odstającymi automatycznymi bębnami, które powinni lepiej ukryć. Gitary, bas i wokal są zróżnicowane - na pewno słychać grind, death, a także odrobinę black metalowego brzmienia - co mi się bardzo podobało. Niezwykle trujące, brutalne i przepełnione złością gitarowe riffy są przykuwającą uwagę cechą albumu.
Myślę, że Ravaged by Ghouls to jedyny zespół z nielicznych, który był w stanie wsadzić różne metalowe style w jeden album i sprawić, by brzmiał dobrze.
„Ominous” ma wiele dobrych stron z jednym tylko błędem, który ledwo zauważyłam. Tak jak wspomniałam, perkusja automatyczna jest trochę za bardzo słyszalna, mogli ją trochę lepiej ukryć w procesie miksowania i masteringu. Ten jedyny negatywny aspekt tak naprawdę nie wpływa na słuchanie albumu, zrozumienie jego przesłania i tak dalej ... może tylko trochę zirytować słuchaczy, którzy mają bardziej wyczulone ucho na takie defekty .
Mówiąc o przesłaniu albumu i uczuciach, jakie mi dał - cóż, naprawdę nie widzę głębokiego przesłania treści lub czegoś w tym rodzaju - dla mnie album był inspirowany horrorami - przynajmniej to w nim słyszę. Myślę, że „Ominous” opowiada nam różne historie o duchach, demonach, masakrach ludzkich itp. Naprawdę podobała mi się gniewna i mroczna atmosfera, która emanuje z tego wydawnictwa.
Zadowolona ciężką pracą i niezwykłym talentem Ravaged by Ghouls, stwierdzam że zespół wyraźnie określił swoję wysoką pozycję w podziemnej społeczności. Mam nadzieję, że niedługo zespół da nam więcej materiału, kontynuując swoją drogę i styl, które wyraźnie widać i słychać na tym albumie.
Moim zdaniem Ravaged by Ghouls ma ogromny potencjał, który wkładają do zespołu, aby wejść po schodach undergroundowej sceny metalowej. Jeśli podoba ci się zespół, okaż mu wsparcie w mediach społecznościowych i Bandcamp.
