ROPE - 'Rope I, II' Demo

Rope is a very new (exactly this year) Trio Heavy / Hard rock metal from the USA, Seattle, and Washington to be exact. For the most part, the team is composed of women. Guitarist and vocalist Anne Thorsteinson, drummer Margot Pryor-Jones and one male who plays the guitar - Max. The band recently presented their music on the web for the first time, and I must admit that this is a musical formation with which I heard a lot of potentials.
Rope I and II is simply a collection of the first Demo albums of this band so that we can listen to what a new Heavy / Hard Rock band we are dealing with. I personally listened to these releases and immediately heard that the great inspiration in this band comes from the Canadian band representing the new wave of Heavy Metal, which is, of course, the Cauldron band. You can feel it especially in the characteristic singing style of the singer, in riffs and guitar melodies, and the way the songs are arranged. Of course, this is only a good inspiration from Cauldron, because Rope has also developed his own style of playing these Demos anyway. The melody and guitar riffs are very good for me and catch my ear after listening to them for the first time. The only drawback for me can be the vocal of Rope because for me it is hmmm how to say - "As if too sweet and too calm" on Hard Rock and Heavy metal, he lacks that claw. Of course, for some, the voice of the singer will be a big plus and you will surely like it, it depends on a variety of musical tastes. The overall production of these Dems deserves recognition as well because in my opinion it is very well mixed and recorded.
To sum up, Rope presented very well on their first demos, we have solos and guitar riffs in which you can feel that this is music played from the heart and passion. If you like Heavy, Hard Rock, and good Rock and Roll in the style of bands like Girschool then you must check out Rope. I recommend!

Rope to bardzo nowe (bo dokładnie z tego roku) Trio Heavy/Hard rock metalowe pochodzące z USA, dokładnie z Seattle i Washingtona. W przeważającej części skład zespołu tworzony jest przez kobiety. Gitarzystkę i wokalistkę Anne Thorsteinson, perkusistkę Margot Pryor-Jones i jednego przedstawiciela płci męskiej, który udziela się na gitarze - Maxa. Zespół niedawno po raz pierwszy zaprezentował swoją muzykę w sieci, i muszę przyznać że jest to formacja muzyczna u której usłyszałem bardzo duży potencjał.
Rope I i II to po prostu zbiór pierwszych płyt Demo tego zespołu, abyśmy mogli posłuchać z jakim nowym zespołem z kręgu Heavy/Hard Rocka mamy do czynienia. Ja osobiście słuchając tych wydawnictw od razu usłyszałem, że bardzo duże inspiracje w tym zespole są zaczerpnięte z Kanadyjskiego zespołu reprezentującego nową fale Heavy Metalu czyli chodzi oczywiście o zespół Cauldron. Czuć to zwłaszcza w charakterystycznym stylu śpiewania wokalistki, w riffach oraz melodii gitarowych i sposobie układania utworów. Oczywiście jest to tylko dobra inspiracja od zespołu Cauldron, ponieważ Rope i tak wypracował także swój styl grania na tych Demach. Melodię oraz riffy gitarowe są jak dla mnie bardzo dobre i wpadają mi w ucho już po pierwszym ich przesłuchaniu. Minusem jak dla mnie może być tylko wokal wokalistki Rope bo jak dla mnie jest on hmmm jakby to powiedzieć – „Jakby zbyt słodki i za spokojny” na Hard Rock i Heavy metal, brakuje mu tego pazura. Oczywiście dla jednych głos wokalistki będzie natomiast dużym plusem i na pewno się spodoba, to jest jak wiadomo zależne od różnorodnych gustów muzycznych. Ogólna produkcja tych Dem, też zasługuję na uznanie, ponieważ jest według mnie bardzo dobrze zmiksowana i nagrana.
Podsumowując, Rope na swoich pierwszych demach zaprezentowało się bardzo dobrze, mamy tutaj solówki, oraz riffy gitarowe w których czuć, że jest to muzyka zagrana od serca i pasji. Jeśli lubisz Heavy, Hard Rock, oraz dobry Rock and Roll w stylu takich zespołów jak Girschool to musisz koniecznie zapoznać się z Rope. Polecam!
