NEXION - 'Seven Oracles' LP

Yet another death metal band stumbles upon this earth...NEXION! A formation hailing from Iceland. They released a self-titled EP in 2017, followed by a full-length - 'Seven Oracles' released on the 19th of June 2020. The latest album features seven tracks, which mark the full time of nearly 47 minutes. With a strong lineup of five guys overloaded with talent and creative aggression, the release couldn't be better. I'm usually satisfied with a seven-track death metal release since I'm not a massive fan of this genre, but NEXION did something, that I thought was undoable - they left me with a huge hole in my chest, gasping for more of this extremely good material.
Before I listened to 'Seven Oracles', I checked NEXION's discography, and as I mentioned earlier, they only had one EP, before this full-length. So I thought to myself that this will be a typical underground metal band, lacking professional and good quality sound, without the best mixing, and so on... but obviously, I got surprised as almost always - each track seems like it was well thought-through, planned and cared for with the highest care for detail. Each track consists of professionally mixed guitar riffs, followed by perfectly polished drums and hearable, musical bass lines. Dreadfully mood influential vocals complete the music in every aspect. The mysterious, creative whole that NEXION unveiled for us with all these magical and dark tracks, showed me, that the amount of releases which the band has, doesn't really matter, it's all about your dedication, talent, and eagerness to learn and explore new, unknown grounds of music - and then later sharing them, your passion and outcome with the whole music industry, supporters, death metallers. NEXION'S 'Seven Oracles' is a very professionally made death metal album, with all qualities that a breathtaking, breakthrough album should have. All the musical aspects go perfectly with the emotions and mood that the album sparked in me. For example, I felt the Icelandic coldness, frosty winds, and winter darkness. Each track gave me those feeling as well as made me see these images in my head, feel them, and miss the brutal rawness of cold winters. That's what a neatly done death metal album should give you - a good amount of catchy riffs, grim vocals, and beautifully matched feelings.
The way in which NEXION did the album, and then later promoted it, told me a lot about their dedication and their way of creating music. These guys do everything extremely professionally, but they don't show off later, how hard they had to work in order to create the album. You can clearly see all the dedication and hard work in the album. Like I mentioned earlier, the promotion of the album wasn't huge, what kind of surprised me, because this album definitely deserves more listeners. I guess that might be because band members wanted 'Seven Oracles' to be heard by people that would truly appreciate it? Maybe, I'm not sure. What I'm definitely sure about is that if they ever come and do a concert in my country, I'll go right away.

Kolejny death metalowy zespół wpada na tę ziemię ... NEXION! Formacja pochodząca z Islandii. Wydali EPkę w 2017 roku, a następnie pełnometrażowy - `` Seven Oracles '' wydany 19 czerwca 2020 roku. Najnowszy album zawiera siedem utworów, które trwają prawie 47 minut. Z silnym składem pięciu facetów przeładowanych talentem i kreatywną agresją, wydawnictwo nie mogło być lepsze. Zwykle jestem zadowolona z siedmiościeżkowego death metalu, ponieważ nie jestem wielkim fanem tego gatunku, ale NEXION zrobił coś, co uważałam za nie do uczynienia - zostawili mnie z ogromną dziurą w klatce piersiowej, z trudem łapiąc oddech po tym niezwykle dobrym materiale, chcąc go więcej.
Zanim przesłuchałam „Seven Oracles”, sprawdziłam dyskografię NEXION i, jak wspomniałam wcześniej, mieli tylko jedną EP-kę, przed tym pełnym albumem. Pomyślałam więc sobie, że to będzie typowy undergroundowy zespół metalowy, pozbawiony profesjonalnego i dobrej jakości brzmienia, bez najlepszego miksu itd ... ale oczywiście zostałam pozytywnie zaskoczona jak prawie zawsze - każdy utwór wydaje się być dobrze przemyślany, zaplanowany i zrobiony z najwyższą dbałością o szczegóły. Każdy track składa się z profesjonalnie zmiksowanych gitarowych riffów, po których następują doskonale dopracowane bębny i słyszalne, muzyczne linie basu. Strasznie wpływające na nastrój wokale dopełniają muzykę pod każdym względem. Tajemnicza, kreatywna całość, którą NEXION zaprezentował nam wszystkimi tymi magicznymi i mrocznymi utworami, pokazała mi, że ilość wydawnictw, które zespół ma, tak naprawdę nie ma znaczenia, wszystko zależy od twojego poświęcenia, talentu i chęci do nauki i odkrywania nowych, nieznanych obszarów muzycznych - a następnie dzielenia się nimi, swoją pasją i wynikami z całą branżą muzyczną, supporterami, death metalowcami. NEXION „Seven Oracles” to bardzo profesjonalnie wykonany album death metalowy, ze wszystkimi cechami, które powinien mieć zapierający dech w piersiach przełomowy album. Wszystkie muzyczne aspekty doskonale współgrają z emocjami i nastrojem, które wywołał we mnie album. Na przykład poczułam islandzki chłód, mroźny wiatr i zimowy mrok. Każdy utwór dawał mi to uczucie, a także sprawiał, że widziałam te obrazy w mojej głowie, czułam je i tęskniłam za brutalną surowością mroźnych zim. To właśnie powinien dać starannie wykonany album death metalowy - sporo chwytliwych riffów, ponurych wokali i pięknie dobranych uczuć.
Sposób, w jaki NEXION nagrał album, a potem go wypromował, wiele mi powiedział o ich zaangażowaniu i sposobie tworzenia muzyki. Ci faceci robią wszystko niezwykle profesjonalnie, ale później nie popisują się, jak ciężko musieli pracować, aby stworzyć album. Widać wyraźnie całe poświęcenie i ciężką pracę na albumie. Jak wspomnałam wcześniej, promocja albumu nie była duża, co mnie w pewnym sensie zdziwiło, bo ten album zdecydowanie zasługuje na więcej słuchaczy. Myślę, że może to być spowodowane tym, że członkowie zespołu chcieli, aby „Seven Oracles” było słyszane przez ludzi, którzy naprawdę by to docenili? Może, nie jestem pewna. Jestem przekonana natomiast, że jeśli kiedykolwiek przyjadą i zagrają koncert w moim kraju, to od razu się na niego wybiorę.
