Today I will mention a concert that was extremely important to me and I remember it very magically. Interestingly, it was my first black metal concert. Der Weg Einer Freiheit is one of my favorite bands from the new wave of black metal after 2010. For me, the band from Germany perfectly combines the aggressiveness and the severity of this genre of music, while intelligently adding to their music a climate: mysticism, peace, relaxation, and an interesting atmosphere. It was also, as I remember well, my last metal concert before the global COVID-19 pandemic.
I was extremely pleased when I found out that Der Weg Einer Freiheit will play a concert in Poland. And of course, I could not be missing there. I was in the club where they performed in "Pogłos" in Warsaw for the first time, so I was also curious to discover a new place where concerts take place. I liked the club. The stage in the venue is not big, and the venue where the audience is always quite small too, but that was only a big plus for me because I am a fan and I like intimate concerts when fans can be so close to their favorite band. The acoustics of this room as well as the sound system during the concert, I also think that it was quite ok. In total, during the entire event, there were just over 30 people in the audience. I was a bit surprised, because at Der Weg einer Fehreit concerts when, for example, they played in Germany, there were a lot of people, but it's probably also a matter of the fact that their gig in Warsaw was held on Wednesday evening, so in the middle of the week, some people at work, etc. Well, now it's time to describe how individual bands performed and what impressed me that evening! Before the main band of that evening - Der Weg Einer Fehreit, a band also from Germany called Downfall Of Gaia played, playing music from the genre of Atmospheric Sludge / Post-Black Metal / Crust. I must admit that I have never had the opportunity to meet this musical formation before (Is it to find them somewhere on YouTube, or, for example, to hear them at another concert) but the band made a great impression on me and I liked them right away. In my opinion, the level of playing was comparable to the main star of this event. Downfall Of Gaia entered every song very sharply and with great energy, I always love such supports in front of the main band! Now it's finally time for Der Weg Einer Fehreit - after their concerts, which I watched on the Internet, I saw that they play so amazing live, but here I was surprised even more. The band just swept the stage. It was a real festival of chaff black metal riffs mixed with moments of peace and melodies of clean guitars with such a deep and great delay, where reverberation and sound reminded me as if he was in some abandoned palace, or a deserted temple and heard some sounds there. A great atmosphere! My soul, my body was fully satisfied with this musical experience. Additionally, I was disarmed by their drummer Tobias Schuler, where while playing blasts and very energetic percussion parts, his expression and calmness was like playing chess on this stage. The guy has amazing professionalism and drumming skills. The setlist also pleased me a lot because they played all the songs that I love from them. I was especially happy when they played their song called "Letzte Sonne", I recommend this composition, live, when I listened to this number, I felt the chill and cold wind coming from the guitars and the vocalist's voice under the stage. For me, a great advantage was also the great contact between the band and the audience.
Summing up, I will remember the Der Weg Einer Fehreit concert for a very long time. This was my first black metal concert which I had the pleasure to attend, and also because in the future I want even more live black metal music and I look forward to the next concerts in this atmosphere.

Dzisiaj wspomnę koncert, który był dla mnie niesamowicie ważny i bardzo magicznie go zapamiętałem. Co ciekawe był to mój pierwszy koncert w klimacie muzyki black metalowej. Der Weg Einer Freiheit to jeden z moich ulubionych zespołów z nowej fali black metalu po 2010 roku. Zespół z Niemiec jak dla mnie doskonale łączy agresywność, surowość tego gatunku muzyki jednocześnie bardzo inteligentnie dodając do swojej muzyki klimatu: mistyczności, spokoju, zwolnienia i ciekawej atmosfery. Był to także, jak dobrze pamiętam ostatni mój koncert metalowy przed światową pandemią związaną z wirusem COVID-19.
Byłem niesamowicie zadowolony kiedy dowiedziałem się, że Der Weg Einer Freiheit zagra koncert w Polsce. No i oczywiście nie mogło mnie tam zabraknąć. W klubie w którym występowali w „Pogłosie” w Warszawie byłem pierwszy raz, więc też byłem ciekawy odkrycia nowego miejsca w którym odbywają się koncerty. Klub naprawdę mi się spodobał. Scena w pomieszczeniu tego lokalu jest nie duża, oraz sala na której znajduję się zawsze publika jest też dość mała, ale był to dla mnie tylko wielki plus, ponieważ jestem fanem i bardzo lubię kameralne koncerty, kiedy fani mogą być tak blisko swojego ulubionego zespołu. Akustyka tego pomieszczenia jak i nagłośnienie w trakcie koncertu też uważam, że była w miarę w porządku. W sumie podczas całego wydarzenia na publice było nieco ponad 30 osób. Trochę się zdziwiłem, ponieważ na koncertach Der Weg einer Fehreit kiedy na przykład grali w Niemczech był ogrom ludzi, ale to chyba też kwestia tego, że ich gig w Warszawie odbywał się w środę wieczorem, a więc środek tygodnia, część osób w pracy itp. No to teraz czas na opisywanie jak zagrały i jakie zrobiły na mnie wrażenie tego wieczoru poszczególne zespoły! Przed głównym zespołem tego wieczoru czyli – Der Weg Einer Fehreit, zagrał zespół również pochodzący z Niemiec o nazwie Downfall Of Gaia grający muzykę z gatunku Atmospheric Sludge/Post-Black Metal/Crust. Przyznam szczerze, że nigdy wcześniej nie miałem okazji poznać tej muzycznej formacji (Czy to znaleźć ich gdzieś na Youtubie, czy np. usłyszeć na innym koncercie) ale zespół zrobił na mnie naprawdę ogromne wrażenie i od razu mi się spodobali. Poziomem grania dorównywali według mnie bardzo blisko już do głównej gwiazdy tego wydarzenia. Downfall Of Gaia bardzo ostro wchodziło w każdy kawałek i z wielką energią, takie supporty przed głównym zespołem, zawsze uwielbiam! Teraz czas w końcu na Der Weg Einer Fehreit – już po ich koncertach które oglądałem sobie w sieci, widziałem że mega grają na żywo, ale tutaj byłem zaskoczony pozytywnie jeszcze bardziej. Zespół po prostu zmiótł scenę. Był to prawdziwy festiwal sieczki black metalowych riffów wymieszanych z momentami spokoju i melodii czystych gitar z tak głębokim i dużym delayem, gdzie pogłos i brzmienie kojarzyło mi się jakbym był w jakimś opuszczonym pałacu, albo w opustoszałej świątyni i tam słyszał jakieś dźwięki. Naprawdę mega klimat! Moja dusza i ciało było jak najbardziej zaspokojone takim doświadczeniem muzycznym. Dodatkowo jeszcze rozbrajał mnie ich perkusista Tobias Schuler, gdzie podczas grania blastów i bardzo energicznych parti perkusyjnych jego wyraz twarzy i spokój był taki jakby grał sobie na tej scenie w szachy. Naprawdę gość ma niesamowity profejsonalizm i warsztat z grania na perkusji. Setlista też mnie bardzo zadowoliła, ponieważ zagrali w sumie wszystkie kawałki, które od nich uwielbiam. Zwłaszcza niezmiernie się ucieszyłem kiedy zagrali swój numer o nazwie -„Letzte Sonne” naprawdę bardzo polecam te kompozycję. Na żywo gdy słuchałem tego numeru to poczułem chłód i zimny wiatr pod sceną wydobywający się z gitar i głosu wokalisty. Wielki plusem był też jak dla mnie świetny kontakt zespołu z publiką.
Podsumowując, koncert Der Weg Einer Fehreit zapamiętam naprawdę na bardzo długo. Ze względu na to, że to był mój pierwszy koncert black metalowy ogólnie na którym miałem przyjemność być, a także ze względu na to, że w przyszłości mam ochotę na jeszcze więcej muzyki black metalowej na żywo i z niecierpliwością czekam na kolejne koncerty właśnie w takim klimacie.
