MAGEC - "Ethereal Link" EP

Today I have the pleasure to review the EP "Ethereal Link" (Sludge / Doom / Post metal) by the metal band Magec from Spain. Although I do not like these genres of metal and I rarely listen to them, but I must admit that their newest EP "Ethereal Link" surprised me positively.
The entire release lasts almost 26 minutes, but in my opinion, it was enough for the band to catch the attention of listeners and fans of this metal genre, which is Sludge / Doom / Post-metal (although interestingly while listening to this disc, I also heard some black metal influences, especially when it comes to the atmosphere and atmosphere of the songs - it is just black / doom here as for me) Every song on this EP is generally on a very equal level, but for my taste, the song "Red Stone" is the number one composition of this CD. My favorite riff from this album is right here. The riff catches my ear very quickly, it is heavy, even sluggish, and while listening to it, my head started to move to the beat of this piece. My attention was also drawn to the vocalist because his voice on this EP reminds me of the vocals of Jaz Coleman from the band Killing Joke (especially from the album entitled "Killing Joke" from 2003). It is a plus for me because I love music from the band Killing Joke and the vocal of Jaz Coleman.
To sum up "Ethereal Link" by Magec is a really good music item for all Sludge / Doom and Post-metal lovers. If you like the atmosphere of such sluggish music, the sound of the guitar in D tuning or Drop D, you listen to bands such as Black Sabbath or Sleep, then with this EP and the first time you get acquainted with this band, you will not be disappointed. For me, the team has great potential for the future.

Dzisiaj mam przyjemność recenzować EP-kę Sludge/Doom/Post metalowego zespołu Magec pochodzącego z Hiszpanii. Chociaż nie przepadam za tymi gatunkami metalu i rzadko je słucham, tu muszę przyznać, że ich najnowsza EP-ka "Ethereal Link" bardzo poztytywnie mnie zaskoczyła.
Całość tego wydawnictwa trwa prawie 26 minut, ale to wystarczyło według mnie zespołowi, aby przykuć uwagę słuchaczy i wielbicieli tego gatunku metalu jakim jest Sludge/Doom/ Post metal (chociaż co ciekawe podczas słuchania tego krążka, ja usłyszałem także trochę wpływy muzyki black metalowej, zwłaszcza jeśli chodzi o klimat i atmosferę utworów– jest ona tutaj właśnie taka black/doomowa jak dla mnie) Każdy utwór na tej EP-ce jest w sumie na bardzo równy poziomie, ale na moje gusta utwór „Red Stone” jest kompozycją numer jeden tego wydawnictwa. Mój ulubiony riff z tej płyty jest właśnie tutaj. Riff bardzo szybko wpada w ucho, jest ciężki wręcz ociężały, a moja głowa podczas jego słuchania sama zaczęła mi się ruszać do rytmu tego utworu. Moją uwagę przykuł również wokalista, ponieważ jego głos na tej EP-ce kojarzy mi się z wokalem Jaz Colemana z zespołu Killing Joke (zwłaszcza z płyty o tytule „Killing Joke” z 2003 roku) Jest to jak dla mnie bardzo na plus, ponieważ uwielbiam muzykę od zespołu Killing Joke jak i wokal wokalisty Killing Joke - Jaz Colemana.
Podsumowując, EP-ka "Ethereal Link" od Magec, to naprawdę bardzo dobra pozycja muzyczna dla wszystkich miłośników Sludge/Doom i Post metalu. Jeśli lubisz klimaty takiej ociężałej muzyki, brzmienie gitar w stroju D lub drop D, słuchasz takich zespołów jak Black Sabbath, albo Sleep to przy tej EP-ce i przy pierwszym zapoznaniu się z tym zespołem, na pewno się nie zawiedziesz. Jak dla mnie zespół ma bardzo duży potencjał na przyszłość!
