Today another heavy metal review from my pen! The album I'm reviewing today is a band that is very productive this year and very active because Haunt released 3 full albums only in this year! Today I will deal with one of them called "Mind Freeze"
American metal has been at a very high level for years, in the past or today, and I think most metal listeners will agree with me. I consider the band "Haunt" to be very good representatives of the New Wave Heavy Metal genre. Although the band has only been in existence for three years, since 2017, they already have great potential and the predisposition to be a big metal band in the future. Maybe there is nothing innovative and new for heavy metal music in their music, but in my opinion, the band found a great balance between the catchiness of their numbers combined with their heaviness - this has their album "Mind Freeze". A disc with riffs, melodies, vocals, and backing vocals perfectly combines with synthesizers and atmospheric inserts in the background. The production of this album, mix, and mastering deserves a big plus here because listening to this release, I felt the atmosphere of recording albums and the sound like from the 80s.
Generally, in the music of the "Haunt" formation, you can see inspiration from other heavy metal bands. In the singer of this band, for example, I see similarity and inspiration in singing with the singer from the band "Angel Witch" However, all this is a healthy and good inspiration because the musicians created their own sound in this band anyway. Generally, the whole album has no bad moments and tracks, but the strongest moments that grabbed me on this disc were two tracks. The first one is a track with the same name as the album "Mind Freeze" where we have a very nice classic heavy metal guitar riffs and a catchy chorus with choruses. The second track is "Saviors Of Man", there are also very good guitar riffs, and the atmosphere of the track as a whole I really like
To sum up, the album "Mind Freeze" is a piece of good classic heavy metal, which I heartily recommend. It is also worth praising the graphic design of this release. The cover of this album is very attractive and encourages us to listen to the content of this material. The cover looks exactly like this album sounds, so sometimes dark, sometimes mystical with some hope and synthesizers sound like a dungeon or some castle atmosphere. This album is a treat for retro fans and people who like Old School style. Bands such as Haunt, Cauldron, Traveler, and Riot City stand by the fact that metal and heavy metal will never die! and thank them for that!

Dzisiaj kolejna heavy metalowa recenzja spod mojego pióra! Album, który dzisiaj zrecenzuję należy do zespołu, który jest bardzo produktywny w tym roku i strasznie aktywny, ponieważ Haunt tylko w tym roku wydał aż 3 pełne albumy! Dzisiaj zajmę się jednym z nich o nazwie „Mind Freeze”
Amerykański metal od lat był na bardzo wysokim poziomie, czy to w przeszłości czy w dzisiejszych czasach i myślę, że większość słuchaczy metalowych się ze mną zgodzi. Zespół Haunt uważam, za bardzo dobrych przedstawicieli gatunku Nowej Fali Heavy Metalu. Chociaż zespół istnieje dopiero trzy lata bo od 2017 roku to już mają wielki potencjał i predyspozycję by być dużym metalowym zespołem w przyszłości. Może w ich muzyce nie ma niczego odkrywczego i nowego dla muzyki heavy metalowej, ale zespół moim zdaniem znalazł świetną równowagę pomiędzy chwytliwością swoich numerów połączonych z ich ciężkością – taki właśnie jest ich album ‘’Mind Freeze” Krążek na którym riffy, melodie oraz wokale i chórki świetnie łączą się z syntezatorami i klimatycznymi wstawkami w tle. Na duży plus zasługuję tutaj produkcja tej płyty, ,mix oraz mastering, ponieważ słuchając tego wydawnictwa wyczułem mocno klimat nagrywania albumów oraz brzmienia jak z lat 80. Generalnie w muzyce formacji Haunt widać inspirację innymi zespołami heavy metalowymi. U wokalisty tego zespołu widzę np. podobieństwo i inspirację w śpiewaniu z wokalisty Angel Witch. To wszystko jest jednak zdrową i dobrą inspiracją, ponieważ muzycy i tak wykreowali w tym zespole swoje własne brzmienie. Generalnie cała płyta nie ma złych momentów oraz utworów jednak najmocniejsze momenty, które mnie chwyciły na tym krążku to dwa utwory. Pierwszy z nich to kawałek o takiej samej nazwie jak płyta czyli „Mind Freeze” gdzie mamy bardzo fajny klasyczny heavy metalowy riff gitarowy oraz wpadający w ucho refren z chórkami. Drugim utworem jest natomiast „Saviors Of Man” również są tutaj bardzo dobre gitarowe riffy oraz klimat utworu jako jego całość bardzo mi się podoba.
Podsumowując, album „Mind Freeze” to kawał dobrego klasycznego heavy metalu, który serdecznie polecam. Dodatkowo warto także pochwalić szatę graficzną tego wydawnictwa. Już sama okładka tej płyty bardzo przyciąga i zachęca do odsłuchania zawartości tego materiału. Okładka wygląda w sumie, dokładnie tak jak brzmi ta płyta, a więc czasami mrocznie, czasami mistycznie z jakąś nadzieją a syntezatory brzmią jak klimaty lochów lub jakiegoś zamku. Ta płyta to gratka dla fanów retro oraz ludzi lubiących Old Schoolowy styl. Zespoły takie jak właśnie Haunt, Cauldron , Traveler czy Riot City, podtrzymują to, że metal oraz heavy metal nigdy nie zginie! i chwała im za to!
