Ehhh, this is a controversial and very strange album, probably one of the weirdest experiences I've listened to recently. "Samiri" album from the Indonesian band performing music from the genre of Raw/Psychedelic Black metal.
The music on this album sounds dark and as if it was from the depths of hell. The intro itself has terrifying screams like from hell, and the guitars play one big chaos. This album was recorded on May 23, 2020, and we will hear on it a characteristic brutal, aggressive and black metal straight from the "Deathcrush" album by the band Mayhem. The entire album is also very weak and sounds like black metal from the 80s, which for some listeners may immediately cancel this album, and for some, it can be a big advantage. What is a big disadvantage on this release is, unfortunately, that the level of musicians playing on this album often leaves a lot to be desired. You can, for example, hear that - the drums are off the beat a few times and are very poor (surprisingly, in some tracks the drums are really good and interesting) The vocals on this album also, for me are so poor, there is no proper level to show it off and present it. There is nothing lyrical in any of the songs from this band, we only have screams.
In my opinion, it works out a bit, because I applaud the band that they were looking for something original when making their music and trying to create their style. I succeeded because I cannot identify music similar to this band. The band had their vision, they played on this album from the heart and passion and you can feel it - big respect for that! The interesting thing about this album is that the songs were recorded in haunted places, buildings located in Indonesia. One website about this project, write more about this - "Released in May, the album contains 15 potions creating an atmosphere of dark chaos. The album "Samiri" was recorded in a classic analog setting for live recording, using high-sensitivity analog recording techniques to capture "Specter" of musical instruments and cosmic atmosphere. The sound recording process was carried out by Mantash in an empty, haunted building called "Morbid Altar", located in the highest village on the island of Java, Indonesia. One of the band's musicians - "Ahsanantrakh" about his vision of playing black metal, he says - “Black Metal is not a question of how great the musical skill is, or how good and neat the sound quality is, not a copy of character sounds from Black Metal fans. But it is a matter of being honest in presenting and animating the atmosphere for our personal motives and goals" - I would agree with his words, but there is one thing that unfortunately for me cancels this album. The pieces on this album are too long and there is a repetition of riffs and guitar melodies that just tire and bored you. We have 15 songs here, 7 of which last almost 9 minutes, it's a bit of an exaggeration for me. If were to shorten the fact that each track on this album lasted from 2 to 3 minutes, it would be a really strong music release, as I call it "nice black metal chaff" and I would even be tempted to buy their album.
To sum up, the album "Samiri" is a really hard position to judge. I think it is best to listen to this album yourself and judge if it fits our tastes. I only know that there will be listeners who will give this disc the worst marks, and there will be receivers of this album who will like it and will be very sympathetic towards it. Certainly, lovers of psychedelic music, experimental and in which there is a lot of chaos will find relief in it.

Ehhh cóż to jest za kontrowersyjny i bardzo dziwny album, chyba jeden z dziwniejszych jaki w ostatnim czasie miałem przyjemność posłuchać. "Samiri" to płyta
indonezyjskiego zespołu wykonującego muzykę z gatunku Raw/Psychodeliczny Black metal.
Muzyka zawarta na tym krążku brzmi naprawdę mrocznie i jakby była z odmętów piekieł. Już samo intro to przerażające krzyki, które są odtwarzane od tyłu dla jeszcze większego niepokoju, a gitary grają jeden wielki chaos. Ta płyta została nagrana dokładnie 23 maja 2020 i usłyszymy na niej charakterystyczny brutalny, agresywny i szybki black metal rodem jak z płyty "Deathcrush" od zespołu Mayhem. Jakość całej płyty też jest bardzo słaba i brzmi jak black metal z lat 80, co dla jednych słuchaczy może odrazu przekreślać ten album, a dla jednych być dużym atutem. Co jest wielkim minusem na tym wydawnictwie to niestety to, że poziom grania muzyków na tej płycie na instrumentach pozostawia często bardzo wiele do życzenia. Możemy na przykład usłyszeć tutaj, że - perkusja kilka razy jest poza rytmem i jest bardzo uboga (Chociaż o dziwo w niektórych kawałkach jest naprawdę dobra i ciekawa) Wokal na tym albumie też jak dla mnie nie ma odpowiedniego poziomu aby się nim pochwalić i go zaprezentować. W sumie to nie ma tutaj żadnej warstwy lirycznej w każdym z utworów, mamy tylko same przerażające krzyki. Według mnie wychodzi to trochę na plus, ponieważ pochwalam zespół że szukali przy robieniu swojej muzyki czegoś oryginalnego i starali się wykreować swój styl. Udało się to, ponieważ muzyki podobnej do tego zespołu nie potrafię wskazać. Zespól na pewno miał swoją wizję, zagrali na tej płycie od serca i pasji i to czuć - za to naprawdę wielki szacun! Ciekawostką tej płyty jest to, że utwory zostały nagrane w nawiedzonych miejscach, znajdujących się w Indonezji. Jedna ze stron internetowych o tym albumie szerzej piszę tak - "Wydany w maju album zawiera 15 mikstur tworzących atmosferę mrocznego chaosu. Album „SAMIRI” został nagrany w klasycznym, analogowym ustawieniu do nagrywania na żywo, z wykorzystaniem technik nagrywania analogowego o wysokiej czułości, aby uchwycić „widmo” instrumentów muzycznych i kosmiczną atmosferę. Proces nagrywania dźwięku został przeprowadzony przez Mantash w pustym, nawiedzonym budynku nazwanym „MORBID ALTAR”, położonym w najwyższej wiosce na wyspie Jawa w Indonezji. Jeden z muzyków tego zespołu - "Ahsanantrakh" o swojej wizji grania black metalu mówi tak -„Black Metal nie jest kwestią tego, jak wielkie są umiejętności muzyczne, czy jak dobra i schludna jest jakość dźwięku, ani też nie jest to kopiowanie dźwięków postaci od wielbicieli black metalu, ale to jest kwestia uczciwości w przedstawianiu i ożywianiu atmosfery dla naszych osobistych motywów i celów ”. W sumie zgodziłbym się z tymi jego słowami, ale jest jedna rzecz, która niestety dla mnie przekreśla ten album. Kawałki na nim są zbyt długie i następuje powtarzalność riffów i melodi gitarowych, które po prostu męczą i przynudzają. Mamy tu 15 utworów, a z czego 7 z nich trwa prawie 9 minut. To naprawdę jak dla mnie trochę lekka przesada. Gdyby skrócić, że każdy utwór na tej płycie trwałby od 2 do 3 minut byłoby to naprawdę mocne wydawnictwo muzyczne, tak zwana jak to określam "przyjemna sieczka black metalowa" i nawet pokusiłbym się aby kupić ich płytę.
Podsumowując, płyta "Samiri" to naprawdę ciężka pozycja do jakiejkolwiek oceny. Myślę, żę najlepiej przesłuchać te płytę po prostu samemu i ocenić czy pasuję pod nasze gusta. Wiem tylko, że znajdą się tacy słuchacze, którzy na start dadzą tej płycie ocenę 1, oraz znajdą się odbiorcy tej płyty, którym się ona spodoba i będą co do niej bardzo przychylni. Na pewno miłośnicy muzyki psychodelicznej, eksperymentalenj i w której jest bardzo duży chaos znajdą w niej swoje ukojenie.
