Tot Aus Dem Wald is a one-man band, black metal project from Germany which is represented by Falk Hummel, who creates his music under the artistic nickname "Das Kakophonieäh". The musician in his works most often refers to the themes of Occultism, Darkness, and Misanthropy. This year, he released his first full-length album called "Kulte Primitivster Verehrung", in which you can feel the climates mentioned earlier and which we will present more closely. The one-man project consists of pure darkness, evil, and dedication for creating outstanding black metal tracks, which will surely give you a good time while listening to them and will transfer you to a cold and dark, windy forest, all alone, with no-one around...
The intro on this album is very specific and mystical for me. Listening to it, an image of the early Middle Ages was born in my head, like witches burning at the stake. It extremely mood influential and gives you the ultimate ideal introduction to the evil sound and rotten soul of the band. After the perfect introduction to the album, we have a strong and raw hit, reminiscent of the good school of Norwegian black metal from the 90s. You can clearly hear that the black metal 80's are back, by the Darkthrone influenced riffs. The song "Läuterer" gives us aggressiveness, speed of guitar riffs, and drums. The instruments work perfectly together, it is easily hearable that the album was created with an extreme passion for black metal and outstanding talent. As we said, the instruments work great together, guitar riffs are raw, and drums are just perfectly cold and evil - just like they should be. The whole album is generally not recorded in decent and good quality, it has characteristic black metal "raw sound", which is associated most with underground black metal bands. The quality is raw, and not perfect but to be honest, you can hear that it was professionally recorded and that mostly vocals were aimed at the 'bad quality' rather than the rest of the instruments. The vocals on all tracks are always in the background behind the instruments and are quieter compared to them, but there is something about them that fits so well with the compositions on this album. Maybe they should be a little bit louder, or at least deeper, but overall, they were not a problem whatsoever. All of the tracks on this release are very expressive and have a lot of energy, they give you this adrenaline shot, which you feel at the underground black metal concert, when pig heads are flying around while the vocalist is puking his lungs out to sing as best as he can...
Summing up, 'Kulte Primitivster Verehrung' from Tot Aus Dem Wald is a very strong position for fans of brutal, raw, and aggressive black metal. The amount of evil and darkness, with which the album drips with, is extremely empowering and dreadful... To be honest, you don't find many releases with such satisfying characteristics. The great advantage of this album is also that it is a very well and skillfully balanced release. You can hear the primitivity of early Norwegian black metal but then suddenly, you hear a professionally recorded, well-thought tracks, which are focused on delivering extremely powerful messages and dark thoughts. There is nothing too much or too little here. Additionally, for a better atmosphere of this album, it is worth listening to it quite late in the evening, with the candles lit up, red wine, and no-one else in the room... Then, you will be able to fully grasp the idea of the release and its dark soul. I don't see any weaknesses of this album, except that some songs end very strangely, break off and move quickly to the next composition, but of course, it is also a matter of the individual taste of the wonderfully talented creator. Some will like it, the other will not. That is up to each of you - evil individuals.
I recommend you to listen to this intriguing release, while We wait and think about what Tot Aus Dem Wald will present to us in the future because it promises to be a very interesting musical project which surely will score more supporters in the near future. Tot Aus Dem Wald to jednoosobowy zespół, black metalowy projekt z Niemiec, który reprezentuje Falk Hummel, tworzący swoją muzykę pod artystycznym pseudonimem „Das Kakophonieäh”. Muzyk w swoich utworach najczęściej odwołuje się do tematów Okultyzmu, Ciemności i Mizantropii. W tym roku wydał swój pierwszy album „Kulte Primitivster Verehrung”, na którym można poczuć wspomniane wcześniej klimaty. Ten jednoosobowy projekt to czysty mrok, zło i poświęcenie się tworzeniu wybitnych black metalowych kawałków, które z pewnością umilą czas i przeniosą w zimny, ciemny, wietrzny las, w którym znajdziesz się zupełnie sam...
Intro na tym albumie jest dla nas bardzo specyficzne i mistyczne. Słuchając go, rodziły się w naszych głowach obrazy wczesnego średniowiecza, np wiedźmy płonące na stosie. Ma ono niesamowity wpływ na nastrój i stanowi idealne wprowadzenie do niecnego brzmienia i zgniłej duszy zespołu. Po doskonałym wstępie do albumu mamy mocny i surowy hit, przypominający dobrą szkołę norweskiego black metalu z lat 80/90. Wyraźnie słychać powrót black metalowych lat 80-tych poprzez riffy inspirowane m.in Darkthrone. Utwór "Läuterer" daje nam agresywność, szybkość gitarowych riffów i perkusji. Instrumenty świetnie ze sobą współgrają, słychać, że album powstał z ogromną pasją do black metalu i wybitnym talentem. Jak powiedzieliśmy, instrumenty świetnie ze sobą współpracują, gitarowe riffy są surowe, a perkusja jest po prostu doskonale zimna i zła - tak, jak być powinno. Całość nie jest nagrana w dobrej jakości, ma charakterystyczne black metalowe „surowe brzmienie”, które kojarzy się najbardziej z undergroundowymi zespołami metalowymi. Jakość jest surowa i nie doskonała, ale szczerze mówiąc słychać, że została nagrana profesjonalnie i że głównie wokale były skierowane na „złą jakość”, a nie reszta instrumentów. Wokale we wszystkich utworach są zawsze w tle za instrumentami i są cichsze w porównaniu z nimi, ale jest w nich coś, co dobrze pasuje do całej kompozycji albumu. Może powinny być trochę głośniejsze lub przynajmniej głębsze, ale ogólnie nie stanowiły żadnego problemu. Wszystkie utwory na tym wydawnictwie są bardzo ekspresyjne i mają dużo energii, dają ci zastrzyk adrenaliny, który czujesz tylko na undergroundowym koncercie black metalowym, kiedy latają łby świń, podczas gdy wokalista prawie wymiotuje płucami, by zaśpiewać najlepiej jak potrafi ...
Podsumowując, „Kulte Primitivster Verehrung” zespołu Tot Aus Dem Wald to bardzo mocna pozycja dla fanów brutalnego, surowego i agresywnego black metalu. Ilość zła i mroku, którymi ocieka album, jest niesamowicie wzmacniająca i przerażająca ... Szczerze mówiąc, nie ma wielu wydawnictw o tak satysfakcjonujących cechach. Wielką zaletą tego albumu jest również to, że jest umiejętnie zbalansowany. Słychać prymitywność wczesnego norweskiego black metalu, ale nagle również usłyszysz profesjonalnie nagrane, dobrze przemyślane utwory, które koncentrują się na dostarczaniu niezwykle mocnych przekazów i mrocznych myśli. Nie ma tu nic za dużo ani za mało. Dodatkowo dla lepszego klimatu tej płyty warto posłuchać jej dość późnym wieczorem, przy zapalonych świecach, czerwonym winie i nikim w pobliżu... Wtedy będzie można w pełni pojąć ideę tego wydania i jego mroczną duszę. Nie widzimy żadnych negatywnych cech tego albumu poza tym, że niektóre utwory kończą się bardzo dziwnie, urywają się i szybko przechodzą do kolejnej kompozycji, ale oczywiście jest to również kwestia indywidualnego gustu cudownie utalentowanego twórcy. Niektórym się to spodoba, innym nie. To już zależy od każdego z was.
Polecamy Wam posłuchać tego intrygującego wydawnictwa, podczas gdy my czekamy i myślimy o tym, co Tot Aus Dem Wald nam zaprezentuje w przyszłości, bo zapowiada się on na bardzo ciekawy projekt muzyczny, który z pewnością w zdobędzie więcej zwolenników.
