WOLFDUSK - 'The Beginning'

Argentinian band strikes back with a great full-length album 'The Beginning' (28th Sept. 2020).
WOLFDUSK emerged around 2006, disbanded in 2012, and thankfully came back in 2019. I'm glad they got back after all since the music they make is extremely decent to listen to while having a nice beer.
WOLFDUSK has a pretty long discography, but today I will take under examination 'The Beginning' - their latest release. It features seven tracks and lasts almost 34 minutes - quite a good duration, it surely won't make you feel bored.
Let's see what WOLFDUSK came up with if the album will provide a killer rollercoaster of decent music, deep emotions, and dark, extreme metal imagery.
Ladies and gentlemen... WOLFDUSK!
The musical background, which hits you greatly right from the beginning, is rather doom metal, with some death metal accents and black metal points. All the instruments fit exceptionally well together, and I could certainly hear that the guitars were the main character of the release. Everything else was rather faded, which wasn't a good choice for that kind of music - they should emphasize drums a little bit more, and add some speed to the whole. Overall, the musical background was done very well, with some cool features of different metal subgenres.
When it comes to vocals, I have to say that I tremendously enjoyed the black metal screams - they were dark, deep, filled with emotions, and scratchy enough. Although when they changed to death metal vocs, then I felt like they didn't fit at all to the music, additionally this kind of vocals isn't really my cup of tea.
The emotional side of the release is very rich in various feelings and imagery. 'The Beginning' gives you a whole emotional experience - starting from brutal energy, through anger, darkness, and extreme metal creativity. The imagery (or vision) that I got from the album was misanthropic, dark, and a very cold one - that's what I needed!
"The Beginning" provides you great, meaningful, and dark material. The experience, you'll get from listening to the album, will be full and rich in emotions, creative musical ideas, and mystical imagery.
I recommend this release to people that are fond of a bit more experimental kind of metal, and those that enjoy metal subgenres mixes.
The release will give you a good time while listening to it, and maybe you'll even find your new favorite band...

WOLFDUSK powstał około 2006 roku, rozwiązał działalność w 2012 roku i na szczęście wrócił w 2019. Cieszę się, że w końcu udalo im się powrócić, ponieważ muzyka, którą tworzą, jest niesamowicie przyzwoita do słuchania przy dobrym piwie.
WOLFDUSK ma dość długą dyskografię, ale dziś poddam egzaminowi „The Beginning” - ich najnowsze wydawnictwo. Ma ono siedem utworów i trwa prawie 34 minuty - całkiem niezły czas, na pewno Was nie znudzi.
Zobaczmy, co wymyślił WOLFDUSK, czy album zapewni zabójczy rollercoaster porządnej muzyki, głębokich emocji i mrocznego, ekstremalnego metalu.

Muzyczne tło, które od samego początku mocno Was uderza, to raczej doom metal, z pewnymi death i black metalowymi akcentami. Wszystkie instrumenty wyjątkowo dobrze do siebie pasują i z pewnością uda Wam się usłyszałyszeć, że głównym bohaterem wydawnictwa są gitary. Wszystko inne było raczej wyblakłe, co nie było dobrym wyborem dla tego rodzaju muzyki - zepspół powinien nieco bardziej podkreślić perkusję i dodać całości tempa. Ogólnie tło muzyczne było zrobione bardzo dobrze, z kilkoma fajnymi cechami różnych podgatunków metalu.
Jeśli chodzi o wokale, muszę powiedzieć, że niesamowicie podobały mi się ich black metalowo brzmiące części - były mroczne, głębokie, przepełnione emocjami i wystarczająco szorstkie. Kiedy jednak zmieniały się na death metalowe wokale, czułam, że w ogóle nie pasują do muzyki, w dodatku ten rodzaj wokali nie jest tak naprawdę w moim typie.
Emocjonalna strona wydania jest bardzo bogata w różne uczucia i obrazy. „The Beginning” to całe emocjonalne przeżycie - począwszy od brutalnej energii, poprzez złość, mrok i ekstremalną metalową kreatywność. Obrazy (lub wizje), które otrzymałam z albumu, były mizantropijne, mroczne i bardzo zimne - tego właśnie potrzebowałam!
„The Beginning” zapewnia wspaniały, wiele znaczący i mroczny materiał. Wrażenia, które otrzymascie słuchając albumu, będą pełne i bogate w emocje, twórcze pomysły muzyczne i mistyczne obrazy.
Polecam to wydawnictwo osobom, które lubią nieco bardziej eksperymentalny rodzaj metalu oraz tym, którzy lubią miksy podgatunków metalu.
Wydanie zapewni Wam dobrą zabawę podczas słuchania, a może nawet odkryjecie, że to Wasz nowy ulubiony zespół ...
