BESATT - 'Blasphemous Ritual Live In Zabrze'

Oh to attend a black metal concert once again - such a beautiful dream. Nowadays, we only have live albums left, to at least give us a small reminder of how it used to be once upon a time...
That gloomy, dark, and brutal emotions could be felt directly on your skin, flowing straight from the stage in front of you - but in this case, these feelings could be on the way felt from the speakers - since I'll be reviewing a live album, recorded when a pandemic was just a funny joke.
BESATT's 'Blasphemous Ritual Live in Zabrze' resonates with all these emotions, what's more, it's a flawless showcase of the band's skills and utter talent. We can certainly say that the show was performed amazingly and contained a lot of red energy.
In addition to the great CD, we also have a DVD from the concert, so that you can watch it, and be a part of the audience, and pretend that you're actually attending a show.
Besatt's live album opens up with instrumental 'Preludium' which gets you warmed up for a strong alliance of brutal and dark black metal music. Hell of music graced us on that CD. The band chose a very strong setlist containing their top-level classics, as well as some more up-to-date stuff. Utter anger, darkness, and brutality were flowing from the music, what's more, you could hear and feel the excitement of the audience, which grew bigger with each song.
Besatt threw a performance of very high quality and managed to stay on top of their abilities throughout the whole concert. There were no mistakes in the show whatsoever, everything was glued well together, there were no awkward silences between the tracks - so you didn't have to worry about waiting for the next track because the band basically jumped into the next song as soon as they were done with the earlier one, only announcing the title of the following piece of music.
I deeply enjoyed the fact that we got to hear the whole concert, because sometimes in production, people cut the breaks the band has between the tracks, and then we don't hear the conversation that the singer is having with the audience, what's more, we could hear the screams from the listeners, and we basically could feel as if we're attending the show with everybody back in 2018.
When it comes to the live video, it was recorded at the concert in Zabrze, and in addition to that, we also got bonus tracks in the form of various videos from different countries filmed on Besatt's world tour.
The polish show was an outstanding cinematic work of art, as it had a very high quality of the music, as well as the visual side. I watched it on TV and I literally felt as if I was standing in the back of the audience - that's quite a remarkable feeling. On the other side, the world tour videos were rather poor quality but that didn't stop me from enjoying them, because the important thing here is the music - and it was splendid.
I am extremely glad that MARA production did this is awesome release - it is a kind of Besatt talent's documentary, as the guys have been in the black metal scene for so long, but didn't become commercial - actually, in contrary to that, they matured and that can certainly be heard in their music.

Ach, znowu wziąć udział w black metalowym koncercie - taki piękny sen. W dzisiejszych czasach pozostały nam tylko albumy na żywo, aby przynajmniej przypomnieć nam, jak to było kiedyś ...
Te ponure, ciemne i brutalne emocje można było poczuć bezpośrednio na skórze, płynęły one prosto ze sceny przed tobą - ale w tym przypadku te uczucia mogą być odbierane niestety tylko z głośników - dziś będę recenzować live album, nagrany, gdy pandemia była tylko zabawnym żartem.
Tymi wszystkimi emocjami rozbrzmiewa „Blasphemous Ritual Live in Zabrze” od Besatt, co więcej, jest nieskazitelną wizytówką umiejętności i ogromnego talentu zespołu. Z całą pewnością można powiedzieć, że koncert był wykonany rewelacyjnie i zawierał dużo mroczmej i zimnej energii.
Oprócz świetnej płyty CD mamy również DVD z koncertu, abyś mógł go obejrzeć i być częścią publiczności.
Album koncertowy Besatt otwiera instrumentalne „Preludium”, które rozgrzewa cię i przygotowuje do silnego sojuszu brutalnego i mrocznego black metal. Diabelska piękna muzyka zaszczyciła nas na tej płycie. Zespół wybrał bardzo mocną setlistę zawierającą ich klasyki z najwyższej półki, a także trochę bardziej aktualnych rzeczy. Z muzyki płynęła całkowita złość, ciemność i brutalność, co więcej, można było usłyszeć i poczuć podekscytowanie publiczności, które rosło z każdym utworem.
Besatt zagrał na najwyższym poziomie i zdołał utrzymać się na nim przez cały koncert. W performansie nie było żadnych błędów, wszystko było dobrze sklejone, nie było niezręcznej ciszy między utworami - więc nie musieliście martwić się czekaniem na następny utwór, ponieważ zespół w zasadzie wskoczył do kolejnego, gdy tylko skończyli z poprzednim, zapowiadając jedynie jego tytuł.
Bardzo mi się podobało, że mogliśmy usłyszeć cały koncert, ponieważ czasami w procesie mixingu i masteringu praktykuje okrajanie koncertu i przerw, które zespół ma między utworami, i przez to nie słyszymy rozmowy, jaką wokalista prowadzi z publicznością - na szczęście na tym wydaniu tak nie jest. Dodatkowo mogliśmy usłyszeć krzyki słuchaczy, i w zasadzie prawie poczułam się tak, jakbym była na koncercie ze wszystkimi tymi osobami w 2018 roku.
Jeśli chodzi o wideo z konecrtu, to zostało ono zarejestrowane w Zabrzu, a oprócz tego dostaliśmy również bonusowe utwory w postaci różnych teledysków z wielu krajów, kręconych na światowej trasie Besatt.
Polski pokaz był wybitnym dziełem filmowym, ponieważ miał bardzo wysoką jakość muzyczną i wizualną. Oglądałam to na TV i dosłownie czułam się, jakbym stała z tyłu publiczności - to dość niezwykłe uczucie. Niestety reszta filmós z trasy koncertowej były raczej kiepskiej jakości, ale to nie przeszkodziło mi się nimi cieszyć, ponieważ najważniejsza jest tutaj muzyka - i była świetna.
Niezmiernie jestem zadowolona, że MARA Production zrobiła to niesamowite wydawnictwo - jest to swego rodzaju dokument o talencie Besatt, bo chłopaki są na scenie black metalowej od bardzo dawna, ale nie stali się komercyjni - wręcz przeciwnie, dojrzeli i na pewno można to usłyszeć w ich muzyce.
