Today, another review of the album under the patronage of 'Mara Productions'. Apocryfal is a group from Finland that represents the Blackened Death Metal genre. In 2019, they released their first full-length debut album called 'Crushing Black Death'. Today I will tell you a little about this record. I cordially invite you to my review!
The title of this album perfectly describes my feeling after listening to this very good album for me. The sound of the music on this album is just like that: crushing, we have sluggish, fleshy death metal riffs mixed with the influences of playing very black metal, usually in the form of tremolo riffs on the guitar. The entire release lasts less than 40 minutes and for me, it's a very good duration for this type of metal and release. Everything on this album is very well balanced and harmonizes with each other, we have great harmony here. The production as well as the mix itself, and the mastering of this album also deserve a lot of recognition. I do not see anything here that could be attached to this album. I don't see any drawbacks in the production of this album and in the sound of this album itself. Everything here is at a really high level. Starting with the electric guitar parts, which are really great and where my foot moved by itself to the rhythm (especially on track number two from this album, i.e. 'Truth Hath No Confines', which for me is the best guitar riff from the entire album, and privately it is also my favorite composition from this release) all the way to the drums, bass, and vocals, everything is extremely well-polished. The riffs are sometimes so sluggish here, and some very slow, reminiscent of the best riffs from world-class doom metal bands. Now let me focus on the drums on this album. It is really beautiful sounding here, and the drummer of this band (because of his playing) you can just hear and feel that he has an amazing technique of this instrument. Very accurate, even playing and great blasts.
To sum up, 'Crushing Black Death' from Apocryfal is a really great death metal mixed with black metal. If you are a fan of music in which the atmosphere and sound will be associated with darkness, forest, and some death in the background, then you need to listen to this release. In addition, this album may appeal to fans (this time when it comes to the singing style of the singer on this album) of such bands as Cannibal Corpse and Amon Amarth, because the timbre of the vocalist Apocryfal reminds me of something between the vocals of Cannibal Corpse 'Corpsegrinder' and with Johan Hegg of Amon Amarth.

Dzisiaj kolejna recenzja płyty, której patronatem jest wytwórnia 'Mara Productions' Apocryfal to pochodzący z Finalndii zespół reprezentujący gatunek Blackened Death Metalu. W 2019 roku wydali swoją pierwszą debiutancką długogrającą płytę o nazwie 'Crushing Black Death'. Dzisiaj właśnie o niej trochę opowiem. Serdecznie zapraszam do mojej recenzji!
W sumie już sam tytuł tej płyty idealnie opisuję moje odczucie po wysłuchaniu tego bardzo dobrego jak dla mnie albumu. To brzmienie muzyki na tym krążku jest właśnie takie: miażdżące, mamy ociężałe mięsiste death metalowe riffy wymieszane z wpływami grania bardzo black metalowego, czyli zazwyczaj w formie tremolo riffów na gitarze. Całość tego wydawnictwa trwa niecałe 40 minut i jest to jak dla mnie bardzo dobry czas trwania dla tego typu gatunku metalu i wydawnictwa. Wszystko na tej płycie jest bardzo dobrze wyważone i współgra ze sobą, mamy tutaj świetną harmonię. Produkcja jak i sam mix, oraz mastering tej płyty, również zasługuję na bardzo duże uznanie. Nie widzę w sumie tutaj niczego do czego można byłoby się doczepić na tej płycie. Nie widzę żadnych minusów w produkcji tego albumu jak i w samym brzmieniu tego krążka. Wszystko tutaj jest na naprawdę wysokim poziomie. Począwszy od partii gitar elektrycznych, które są naprawdę świetne i przy których moja noga ruszała mi się sama do rytmu (zwłaszcza przy utworze numer dwa z tej płyty, czyli 'Truth Hath No Confines' w którym jest jak dla mnie najlepszy riff gitarowy z całej płyty, i prywatnie jest to także moja ulubiona kompozycja z tego wydawnictwa) aż po partię perkusji, basu i wokalu mamy tu wszystko szalenie dobrze dopracowane. Riffy w sumie czasami są tu tak ociężałe, a niektóre bardzo powolne, kojarzące mi się jak z najlepszymi riffami od zespołów reprezentujących doom metal światowej klasy. Teraz pozwolę skupić się na perkusji na tym albumie. Jest ona tutaj naprawdę pięknie brzmiącą, a perkusista tego zespołu (po jego grze) po prostu słychać i czuć, że ma niesamowity warsztat tego instrumentu. Bardzo dokładne równe granie i świetne blasty.
Podsumowując, 'Crushing Black Death' od zespołu Apocryfal to naprawdę świetne death metalowe łojenie wymieszane z black metalem. Jeśli jesteś fanem muzyki, w której klimat i brzmienie będzie ci się kojarzyło z mrokiem, lasem i jakąś śmiercią w tle, to musisz posłuchać właśnie tego wydawnictwa. Dodatkowo ten album może się spodobać fanom (tym razem jeśli chodzi o styl śpiewania wokalisty na tej płycie) takich zespołów jak: Cannibal Corpse, oraz Amon Amarth, ponieważ barwa głosu wokalisty Apocryfal kojarzy mi się właśnie z czymś pomiędzy wokalem ‘Corpsegrindera’ z Cannibal Corpse, a z Johanem Heggiem z Amon Amarth.
